- 2000 Boxster & 2021 Taycan
Until the software to analyze the main battery is released the ARB 6 & 7 have no actions for my dealer to perform. Once they can do the analysis then who knows what actions will be required but my SOC is well within spec at this point and I don’t drive it enough to stress the battery so I doubt Porsche will need to do anything on my battery. You have been told that your 2021 Taycan is not subject to any recalls, including ARB6 or ARB7? Wow!
I’ve stopped worrying about my Taycan. It’s one of 4 vehicles I drive the least so not much changes from year to year. The ARB6 & 7 recalls really are most likely to impact owners who drive their vehicles on a daily basis. I’m lucky if I put 3K to 4K miles/year on average since I’m never around. It sits in a nice garage and never gets too hot or cold but works every time I get home from traveling serving me well.
Now that I’ve been reassured by Porsche that they’re confident my Taycan won’t catch fire in my garage & I can charge at 120V as long as I want with no risk of fire or battery degradation I can stop worrying.
