I am genuinely gobsmacked that a standard Taycan Turbo S feels slow on UK roads.
I think it's a case of getting used to what you have - slippery slope to losing your licence which is why I chose a GTS ;) .

I dread to think what a base Macan feels like when your car goes in for service.
?
I've asked for a Taycan (they've noted that shouldn't be an issue... am hoping for a GTS so I can compare with my own).

The Panamera eHybrid I was given first up felt like an old man's smoking lounge.

The 992GTS just felt a bit...last century. Nice enough. But trying too hard and not getting there.

It's actually not that surprising. The Turbo and Turbo S feel slower than a model 3 or model Y Tesla on the roads (unless Launch Control is activated in the Taycans)

I have a GTS, curious what performance hit the battery/range takes because of the tune. Any input/experience with this?

For day to day driving none, if your are flat to the mat then the range difference it isn’t noticeably different from driving flat out before.

I have the tune on the Turbo S as well and love it. You can search a post I made on the results, but the biggest difference in numbers on the Turbo S is the 60-130 time. I got 6.92 I think post tune which was better than all other Dragy times by a good margin.

The better throttle response and the always available ~800hp absolutely is noticeable but in the TTS you have the same in launch so not much improvement on 0-60 or 1/4.

Additionally, we’re all driving $125k-$225k cars. We’ve spent $3500 on a lot less fun. lol. Spend it!

Took the car out today in NY with the warmer weather and drove it like a complete menace. Reminded me why I got it. Mario made it more fun.

Please please pretty please Redshift Performance advertise your RWD tune so that I can spend my money with you (that sounds rediculous ?). It's been asked a bunch of times. I do understand customer hesitation to post though. I like what Redshift is doing but I've stated before the RWD and GTS are probably the biggest market.
Ideo review of a base Taycan with Redshift ecu upgrade. Basically takes it to being slightly faster than a gen 1 gts.

This is the CT which is 4WD (Taycan 4). It has 2 motors. RWD has only one motor at the rear so it is not comparable.

So is unlimitedtuning just OEM'ing the redshift hardware? It's noticeably more expensive.

Anyone know of someone in the UK who can supply these? where is best to deal with for delivering to the UK?

Also, if you order the one with the extra ECU, do you need to send in the old ECU first still or do they just send a new one with the tweaked firmware? (question goes for both products, if different)

Redshift:
  • no, you don't need to send them your existing ECU - keep it to refit if/when you sell
  • Redshift will ship directly to you in UK

How would the GTS after tune compare to turbo/turbo s? According to website they would be comparable, is this correct?

Redshift Stage 2 - Taycan GTS // 800+ HP, 774 lb-ft

  • Increase in available peak power
  • Permanent availability of overboost functionality
  • Increase of recuperation torque (optional)
  • Drivability adaptation (unfiltered throttle response - optional)
  • Removal of max. speed limiter (optional)
$3900

Redshift Stage 3 - Taycan Turbo & TurboS // 800+ HP, 774 lb-ft

  • Increase in available peak power
  • Permanent availability of overboost functionality
  • Increase of recuperation torque (optional)
  • Drivability adaptation (unfiltered throttle response - optional)
  • Removal of max. speed limiter (optional)

No, the Turbo S will always have more torque than a Turbo or tuned GTS.

Interesting read from @prj
Opened my eyes.

Removal of speed limiter doesn't do anything (yet).
I've tried that myself ('20 Turbo S), it does 273 km/h, just like before.
It's still "under construction" but I doubt if we ever hear about that again...
