I’m not in the UK, but having a similar issue. My car shows a 4g connection, but anything that requires that connection fails in both directions. For example, the car can’t update the weather, and I can’t unlock/unlock the car from the app. It’s been stuck for almost two weeks. I have an appointment at the dealer tomorrow. I haven’t tried disconnecting the battery or finding a dead zone (just found this thread).

I’m not in the UK, but having a similar issue. My car shows a 4g connection, but anything that requires that connection fails in both directions. For example, the car can’t update the weather, and I can’t unlock/unlock the car from the app. It’s been stuck for almost two weeks. I have an appointment at the dealer tomorrow. Both worth a try. I would try the underground car park option first. That worked for me and I discovered it by accident. I tried the battery disconnect for around 70 mins and that didn't work as the Conbox has its own backup battery.

I would book a slot with your OPC now given the lead time for bookings. You can always cancel if you get it working. Also call Porsche Connected Services and they will ask Germany to restart the connection their end. Again that didn't work for me and it took them a week to try to fix it but it will save time at the OPC if this has already been tried.
Last resort is OPC to reset or replace Conbox High.

Yes! App is showing car details last updated 2 days ago and I have driven over 150 miles since that time with 4G showing most if not all the time.

Someone had a tally of the MY25 vehicles. It doesn’t represent all but it seems like if the issue did come up, it either resolved itself or needed service to reset or replace the con box.

Another fix that has worked for some ...

Underlying Problem: Car embedded SIM has good signal but data connectivity not working.

Symptoms: My Porsche App cannot connect to car, In car apps like Apple Music, Weather, etc.. do not work.

This is usually the case when you see a symbol on the PCM.
A symbol next to the mobile phone icon showing 2 bi-directional lines crossed out with a diagonal line, basically depicting a loss of data connection.

The Fix: Force the internal car GSM module/modem to reboot and establish a new PDP context with the GSM network; essentially forcing a reset of the data connection.

Way to achieve this fix (one possible solution)

- Do a 2 finger press reboot
- Choose Reboot to Normal Mode
- Before the PCM has rebooted, i.e. while it is still showing a Black screen,
: press & hold the power button to power-off the car
: lock the car and let it sit idle for 15 mins or so.

- Unlock the car and the PCM should hopefully show a data connection now.

Yep if went with the WRV3 Update. The tech at my OPC said there is no other way to do it without PIWIS or disconnecting the battery and he wasn't sure the later would have the same effect as the reboot.

So far i haven't needed it but I used it all the time in my J1.1 to resolve issues like soc at destination not showing etc.

Before locking the car, do you press & hold the power button on the dashboard, or not?

Doggone . . . you posted that alternative while I was in the process of disconnecting the 12V battery and I didn't see it until it was too late LOL. It was quite a pain to disconnect the 12V but it fixed the problem. In the process I lost a small tool down in the bowels of the car somewhere below the battery. Next time Porsche Connect drops out (and based on past experience I'm confident there will be a next time), I'll try your method.

See my post above re underground car park etc....

I wanted to come back and respond here because my issue was a simple fix.. My disconnect happened permanently until fixed and started 1 week after i picked up the car.. I got ahold of my Porsche Tech today and he said this happens from time to time with new sales. He looked in the system and noticed that my Porsche account no longer was connected to my new car… Nothing i could have done, nothing that would have purposefully done by anyone but he was gonna call Porsche in Atlanta and see if they could fix.. Porsche Atlanta was closed today as it is a national holiday (dealership was opening). Porsche tech said i just added it back on my side. Could be fixed as he sees a green dot in my account associated with the car… Said it could take up to an hour.. i checked in the car after 30 minutes. No change. Then went back and sat on couch. Checked app again 15 minutes or so later and hit refresh and my details were updated in the app. Then i got 4 or 5 push notifications about preconditioning car from the Porsche App. Went out to the car and everything was working fine.. Locked car from app etc. Everything back to normal. This was my issue and my solve. Not saying the other issues / solves aren’t options but for me on a MY25 and this scenario. This was the issue.. YMMV.. thanks everyone.
