I'm a fairly new owner (3 months) of a '22 Taycan.
Recently I was checking out the navigation, and mapped a route to my house from wherever I was on that day. (yes, of course I know how to get home; I was just playing around with it).
It attempted to route me to an offramp that hasn't existed for over 4 years. If you're paying attention, the incorrect map info my car has is the same age as the car.
So this begs the question: Does the map ever get updated, or does the car ship with a given map database, and it becomes stale from that point?
I called Porsche NA and they say you have to have Porsche Connect services for the car to get map updates. I responded with "How long is the first owner's trial period of Porsche Connect? They said 3 years. So I asked "if all the previous conversation is true, why has my car never received a map update indicating the correct offramp configuration which has been this way for 4 years? They were stumped.
My reason for posting this topic on the forum is because I would like to know from people with more history with the car and its updates, if you have seen noticeable changes to your map database, and how did you get it? I need this as ammunition at the dealership this coming week.
