Hi, i have a Taycan (2023) and since May my car doen t connect anymore to my account, i always have to drive in private mode. After a visit to my dealer i got the message that Porsche is aware of the problem and is working on a solution, without giving a date when it should be solved. Anyone the same problem or info about this problem? Thx!

I have looked at your posts about this problem in another thread. My understanding:
--when you go to PCM > settings > privacy and porsche connect and look at privacy mode, it stays active and you are unable to select it to read privacy mode is inactive. and
--in the PCM you cannot logon with your myPorsche account, you must drive car as guest.

Privacy mode must be inactive in the PCM to allow your car to communicate with Porsche servers and allow you to add your MyPorsche userid to the car, if your account has been deleted.

If you are unable to deactivate privacy mode in the PCM since May, that is a problem different than hanging navigation. You need to push for a solution from Porsche Mobility (telephone support) and your dealer. The only reason your PCM will not let you deactivate privacy mode is if the PCM and related Porsche connect software and/or hardware in your car are broken.

There was general disturbance in the Connect Services this week with work ongoing to correct connectivity / function.
That still applies as far as I know. If you have a contract a call to the Connect customer services will log a ticket and they should help to resolve the issues.

There is a TI with info regarding resolution of Connect functionality issues for us in the workshop; covering log-in issues in particular with a guided process:

- Check for Connect CU software updates

- Update CU if necessary > Test log-in
If still n.ok
- Factory settings > Test log-in
If still n.ok:
- Hard reset via PT4G > Test log-in
If still n.ok:
- Connect hard reset > Test log-in

Generally I've managed to resolve cases with the first or second step but have had a few go to Connect hard reset. You can do a fuse pull on the Connect CU if you don't need use of the car for 12 hrs - it'll allow the Connect CU battery to deplete and the next restart will be a fresh start. Likely covered on other threads too.

Hi, thx for your anwser. You discribed my problem perfectly. My car is since May at my dealer, first they told me they would change (i think) it was the calculator, when that didn t work they told me they would change the entire PCM, when that didn t help they told me there was a temporaire problem with the Porsche servers. Two weeks after that message i called the dealer but he couldn t give me an update because the Porsche Technical center wasn t answering their question regarding my car anymore....today i got a phonecall from the dealer that a Porsche representative passed by and said that they are aware of my problem and working on a solution but that it will take some time. Meanwhile i should drive with the car as it is.

At the moment i don t know what to do....last year i paid for a prolonged warranty with my dealer. This ends in december 2026...i am scared that Porsche is trying to pospone resolving this problem until my warranty is over.

Hi thx for your anwser. Before bringing my car to my dealer beginning of May i tried a hard reset of the PCM, but that didn t work at all ....after the reset the PCM even remembered my account (eventhough i couldn t log in to it). The dealer has replaced calculator, didn t help, PCM didn t help...nog Porsche says they know the problem and are working on a solution but can t tell when this will be available!
