Vilken hyllning. Har liknande erfarenheter själv. Magisk bil, helt problemfri.

Also have had several ICE Porsche beforehand, and agree about the Taycan. A 718 is nicer for driving with the top down on mountain roads, but it feels too small and vulnerable on a motorway/freeway. Plus an EV 718 is going to be either very heavy or have a short range. Batteries are just heavy. Hence a whole-system approach has to be taken when designing an EV, which Porsche did with the Taycan.

I have a very similar car to yours and I absolutely love it. Goes around corners great and feels extremely stable at high speeds.
There’s enough room for my family and our stuff to go on trips.
I had a Subaru BRZ and it was a blast on back roads but long trips were an endurance test.
I really hope Porsche do a two-door electric vehicle. I would instantly trade my Taycan in for that since my kids will be gone next year.
I think they should just add a two door variant to the Taycan lineup, but I suppose that would look too much like a 911 and would really make Porsche enthusiast heads explode.

I'm not sure two-door helps much except to reduce weight a bit since the car still has to have the same wheelbase to fit the battery. Perhaps batteries can be stacked up in the space occupied by the back seat footwell. But then you'd have a very long range car that only accommodates two people.

2021 4S: couldn't agree more; the car feels exactly like it did the day I took delivery.
BUT:
It makes me sad, but I am not going to keep it much longer. I extended the warranty 2 yrs and that time is about up. Here is why I am letting go of the absolutely greatest car I have ever owned/driven:

1) I will not pay 4K to change brake pads required at year 6. There is no justification for that price and it will not happen.
2) 2k+ for the 6yr service is unacceptable given the amount of work that needs to be done to complete that activity
3) I had a spontaneous cracking of the driver's window glass. They took the door apart said, yes it is cracked (LOL), it started from below at an attachment, not from a blow.
Cost to replace 2k.... but that isn't the real issue. they have no replacement glass and Porsche (according to the dealer) said it was backordered until 2029. (I am not making this up!!)

So, I cannot, will not continue working with a company (2 actually, Porsche and my selling dealer) under these circumstances. It isn't really the cost, it is the price charged for the work done.

Never again.

Curious what you would consider a fair amount. I came to Porsche knowing full well the costs of the services (I called around, thankfully have 3 dealerships within 2 hrs so they can compete for my business) but also came from MBs and currently have a JLR Defender. Costs are commensurate with the brands levels, so no issues there here. But is it the service folks receive?

Completely agree. Have a 4S CT 2022 and have done 60000km trouble free. Had obviously had to change initially from petrol cars to knowing where the chargers are, but have never had range anxiety

I don't have a figure in mind but I think the prices are about 2x what I would consider reasonable. I knew they were expensive to maintain (not my first Porsche) but this is, to me, beyond reason. I am considering checking in with another dealer, not as convenient but have heard they are competitive. Regardless, with great sadness, I will be saying goodbye to this beauty by some time early next year. Oh, and still waiting on a fix for the cracked glass!
