I dont think you should tap anything off an existing circuit. So easy just to run a new circuit from the drivers side fusebox, up the a-pillar. This ought to be a sticky by this point:

yes we have the puddle lights shining down from the bottom of the doors now on our Taycan CT4. Sonds like you can just pop them in on the Cayenne, but not so simple with the Taycan, even though the plug is there in the door. I guess this is one small way PCNA is helping to keep their dealer's...

you cant just buy them and plug them in if your car was not originally equipped. The harness will not be powered. I checked with a VOM. Turned out (at least for us) car had to be coded with PIWIS. Dealer can do it. JS4S, did you have factory puddle lights to start with?
