I think those are the even cooler PCCB (carbon composite instead of surface coated) brakes? I believe those are always 10 piston even for later years (not sure).

Just to add to this, the 2020 models with PSCB brakes (the white ones) have 10 piston brakes in front while the later ones (2021+) have smaller 6 piston ones. With mission-e wheels the former look quite a bit better in my opinion ? Here are some pics from cars.com: here is a 2020 turbo...

One problem is that the Taycan first slows down on regen so you have to brake hard to engage the actual brakes. A trick you can use is to find a hill, and on the way down set the car in neutral so the brakes engage directly.
