First real OTA update for the Taycan 2020 and 2021 happening April 27th…

Totally off topic...but was the choice of music intentional....when you took this picture...in relation to the "Dream on" remark?! :D For people who didnt experience the 80's, its the album cover for Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics.

    Alarm keeps going off

Gotcha....probably not a proximity thing then... Might have just been blind luck :)

    Alarm keeps going off

Had min done a week ago...all good now. It has its advantages being "close" to Germany it seems, as i had to wait only roughly a week between reporting the issue to my dealer until it had been fixed :)

    Taycan Made Better?

Exactly! What's the hold up? We want this functionality now! :)

    Taycan Made Better?

Really? AM? You guys are living in the past! :D Jokes aside... Off course...i can relate...if there is content that is only available on AM that you want to access. But i honestly thought most developed countries had scrapped AM by the 70's! :D

    Race tex steering wheel

All material on steeringwheels/gearlevers etc. will show age when enough time has passed... And my impression is that the Alcantara/Racetex steeringwheel will show its age well before a leather wrapped steeeringwheel will.

    Clicking noise from brake pedal

Same here....and it only seems to happen sometimes and exactly when you remove your foot from the brakepedal. Come to think of it...i didnt hear it on my last few drives....so i will have to check if its gone.

    Who’s got the standard sound?

Got it. I will do some more digging into the A2B standard, and possibly also how and where VAG has used it. EDIT: Did some initial digging now, and as Audi definitely uses the A2B for their B&O equipped models, as these amplifiers does not have a MOST-connector, this seems pretty clear...

    Who’s got the standard sound?

Thats been established, indeed. As well as variations with and without digital radio. The other differences seems to be revisions. Thanks. I initially did not make this connection. But you are indeed correct. I've checked a few of the main units and they all "useable" loadspeaker pins in the...

    Who’s got the standard sound?

Agreed...and that's what i was saying... you tap the audio signal that goes to the rear doors, and not specifically in the door :) The big unknown for me in relation to tapping the audiosignal...is seeing as the basic system does not have a separate amplifier, the common thing in the...

    Who’s got the standard sound?

Ahh...you are off course correct.... It seems I have been looking into the Bose system a bit to much latetly...as had the Bose and them confused :) Hmmm...in that case i would tap the signal that goes to any of the midbass doorspeakers.

    Who’s got the standard sound?

I would first try to intercept the audio signal at the oem subwoofer, to see if that would give a good clean audio signal. Asuming that the crossover that is set in the system is set reasonably. I my self havent gotten this far yet, as i only took delivery of my car about a week ago :)

Anyone happy with the standard sound system?

Personally i've worked in either tech or audio related business' all my life, and the last twenty years actually in caraudio and related business' and have as a result of this aquired a taste for enjoying music on high quality sounding equippment. That being said....my home audio setups have...

    Who’s got the standard sound?

I cant' speak for Jasper, but in general you've got two options: Either you use "a simple" high-to-low level interface and intercept the audio-signal that way. This is the old school way of doing it, and it will work well if done correcty, and to be frank this is the way i would do it if i...

    Who’s got the standard sound?

I do business with these guys from time to time, and therefore I know they are quite capable, and probably have a solution for you if you wanted to upgrade the sound...one or even several levels. It might not even hurt your chances of getting a good deal if you told them you ran a cross a crazy...

Clear protection film (PPF) on the Taycan?

My Taycan is in the shop getting the full Xpel treatment now...and i most certainly agree that not having access to the car IS indeed the hardest part! :D

    Who’s got the standard sound?

There is always something one can do :) I have the Bose system in my Taycan, while comming from an Audi A7 with the top of the range B&O system (not to be confused with the budget B&O system they use in the e-tron etc.) ....and i sometimes regret not going full Burmester. But...to be honest i...

? PCM 6 Update Announcement [Update: Retrofit Being Explored For Existing Taycans]

Good catch! :D My bad...off course that would mean it probably started production week 8 and was finished in week 9. And off course that would make the week 7 cutoff prediction...entirely correct :)

? PCM 6 Update Announcement [Update: Retrofit Being Explored For Existing Taycans]

Looks like week 5 or 6 then...and not the week 7 cutoff that was talked about earlier...

? PCM 6 Update Announcement [Update: Retrofit Being Explored For Existing Taycans]

Ahh....Thanks for the update... Then at least for current Euro-models the identifiers seems to be the "BB"-ending in the partnumber of the main unit, the 3776 SW version...and that is...if one already haven't noticed the bright colors in the GUI itself! :D
