Dear @David Baldwino
We'll give you the benefit of the doubt , as you're a relative newbie (no offence) and you may not know, but this guy is a well known troll, we've discussed many times before - and his 'antics' are known (off YouTube) by members here.
Please don't post his clickbait again...
Just tried to get another EV on my account setup now. As it's not (yet) gone through DVLA registration by the dealer, it fails their lookup.
As before, it also wants a photo of the V5 pages which I wont get for at least a week until after the car arrives.
That 'trick' may not work to get an extra year free - as it did with the EV vehicle tax increases this year.
I think TFL may have cottoned on / December is a hard deadline / no tapering...
Thanks I was trying everything (except actually reading the manual ?) to get them opened. Now I have the knack.
Incidentally I tested the CR2032 button cell in a coin cell tester I've got and it reported 60% life (on each coin cell respectively) and both reported 2.46v loaded (can't just test...
Message flashed up tonight, 'driver card battery low' (or words to that effect).
Presuming this is the battery inside the PVTS (Vodafone) fob, rather than the car key (which I replaced both sets of batteries around 6 months ago).
So any ideas how to crack open the rectangular wedge-shaped PVTS...
OBC's seems to be a weak point on many cars. Had mine fail on my Tesla at the almost 5-year mark. That was a 3-phase unit too.
You'd think this was fairly basic electrical engineering design and implementation. Nothing particularly funky here.
I hope the same doesn't happen to me again in the...
That's a shame Frank. I hope they sort it for you.
I managed to take a rock hit to the drivers side rear door the other day. Made a real bang. It's not huge but it has gone right through the paint and is down to the alloy sadly.
Not sure if a 'smart repair' will sort it blemish free...may have...
The simple Type 2 cable sits rolled up in the frunk cubbyhole, and gets occasional use for on-street AC charging.
The ‘suitcase’ with the posh Porsche granny charger got taken out the boot on Day 1. It’s been used a grand total of once in 2.5 years ?
They may have the whole part. But it may be worth someone with car out of warranty getting an Indy EV component repair specialist onto the case.
Clearly @ct14garage does this for a crust, and has kindly shared his experience, but I'm aware of one or two others in Europe that do this type of...
Three-phase power is plentiful in continental Europe both commercially and domestically. So 22 kW is a relative doddle as it’s just 32A per phase. Remember we have 230/240 volts per phase here or 415v across the phases.
We have it to a lesser extent in the UK. I have 3-phase supply at home and...
I hear that Ursula is looking for a deal with the Chinese so you guys over in the EU might get some lovely Chinese motors again minus the 45% tariffs ?

Had a sit in one at Everything Electric last year. I’m a little over 6’1” and it felt like I looked over the top of the windshield. Hopefully it was just a poorly adjusted seat. The doors were pretty trick, but it wasn’t exactly a svelte thing. I guess no BEV cars are really. But that was...
