I guess the point I was trying to make is they shouldn’t cost as much as they charge. At end of day a body panel in a Porsche ain’t much different to one on a VW Passat, nor is how hard it is to fit. Just the price is different.
it just seems so wasteful trashing a car that could very...
It's kind of criminal scrapping a car for that minimal damage don't you think? If it was a ford or a vw something or other, it would be 1 or 2 k and you wouldn't even be thinking about writing it off.
Not a criticism of you in anyway, just how nuts the costs are to repair this stuff. Battery...
Thanks.
It’s blowing quite hard when I turn the temperature right down. Ie so it goes to cooling. Just nothing other than a weak puff for heating. Seems odd that only works for one, if as you say it’s one motor and I guess servos are working for cooling.
I suspect I’m very much in ‘can’t...
Thanks. Had a quick go. The sliders didn’t seem to make much difference when heating. Most flow just going to the windscreen whatever setting I use. I had better luck getting some force when turning temperature down to cooling.
But whatever I try, if I want heat, I get an 80 year old smoker...
I seems to get virtually no warm air coming out of the central vent. tried all manner of individual settings etc. It's pretty weak out of the others too.
It seems to blow harder and out of that vent if it's on cooling. Id be surprised if it's a different fan for cooling rather than heat. But...
Morning,
It's time for me to start the teeth puling exercise that is insurance renewal.
I'm currently with admiral on a multi-car insurance policy. Are there any recent recommendations/experiences of other insurers worth trying too?
Thanks
It probably not much help, but my Range Rover - if you try and put into gear (after starting it) w/o putting the code in, it stalls the engine and puts it into neutral. It stays in neutral until you turn car off. Next time you try and start it the engine wont fire up until you put the code in...
Ive got a ghost 2 on my other car. Valet mode gets cancelled if you drive at 30mph for over 15 minutes continuously (i think it is). So if it's been in valet mode since porsche had it, and your run home was the first long trip, that could well have turned the ghost back on. If it has one!!
I'd...
I don't have a zappi, so not exactly sure how that works/integrates with the car. But, first thing to do is delete any timers you've got set up in the car's pcm. Likewise clear out any charging profiles you may have that are overriding what the zappi wants to do.
Surely the easiest way of upgrading the battery is to free up some of the large buffer.
Someone cleverer than me, or maybe chat gpt should be able to write a bit of code to do that? They can add an extra couple hundred hp onto the car after all. This arguably more useful and a bigger market.
When I first had the car i started getting charging errors on AC. It was the EVSE (not a Zappi though). The cause was very low voltage coming into mains supply of the house. UK power came and sorted the power issue out as i was getting below statutory limit.
Long shot but could be that.
What a disgrace. They should be falling over themselves to put it right and stick you in something nice immediately. It's this sort of customer service that's putting me off the brand rather than the problems ive actually had with my car.
You may well have gone this route, but when i received...
Mines had new tyres and not from the porsche dealership as didn't want to pay the PAT. That went up on a lift at a suitably grubby tyre shop that black circles uses.
I think he/she probably means there are no independent service centres who can fix the things.
