Hello
I’ve had my Taycan for 2 years and had another for 3 years prior to this. I have a timer and profile set up to charge to 85% and charge between 11pm and 6.30am. All normal and has been working fine for many years. I have an Zappi charger.

Over the past couple of nights, the charging has stopped after charging for 2%. I have tried both charge ports and have the same issue. Today I have tried Direct Charing to override the timer/profile and this works ok but I did notice that the charging process is interrupted where it will stop for a minute and then start again. During the interruption, the charge level changes from green to red. I think when the interruption happens when charging on timer/profile, the charging doesn’t start up again ie the interruption causes the timer/profile to remain halted and the Zappi charger led is blue indicating that charging is completed.

Has anyone had this issue before and is this a fault with the car or the charger?

Thanks

I have exactly the same issue-the Zappi charger shuts down and restarts a couple of times before I get the charge completely error- I’ve noticed the mains voltage plunging to below 200v during the charging, and know the Zappi has a limit of 207v before it trips out- network provider investigating voltage drop on system, so maybe check your voltage once the car is plugged in- it’s displayed on the Readings sub- menu, 2nd page

I have a somewhat similar issue with a different charger type. Suddenly, the timing and profile data is completely ignored. Anytime I plugged the charger into the car it began to charge immediately as if it were in a direct charging status. I changed nothing on the Settings for either profile or timer. This just occurred and continues to this day.

When I first had the car i started getting charging errors on AC. It was the EVSE (not a Zappi though). The cause was very low voltage coming into mains supply of the house. UK power came and sorted the power issue out as i was getting below statutory limit.

Long shot but could be that.

Thanks guys. I checked the voltage during charging per above and it was fine. I have contacted myenergi (Zappi) for assistance.

It sounds like a charger issue. But the implementation of timers in the car is annoying as well as they don't resume if the supply is interrupted. I have two chargers that are balanced and when the balancer kicks in it quickly cuts the power if there is a spike in power draw from the house - And then resumes when it's certain that there is enough power available. When that happens my timer stops as well.

I have the general profile set to always charge the car to 75% so even if the timer fails I'll have a charge next morning.
