Here is a safe solution that I tend to use myself: just unlock the frunk before you leave (so you can manually reach the frunk hook with your fingers to open it completely). Now have your main battery between 40 - 70% optimally when you leave. When you return after the 6 months and the 12 V...
Yes, it does, and in a way better as not only the dial, but also the second hand is illuminated so you can see it well in the dark. With the porsche design clock the hands are not separately illuminated and can be hard(er) to see.
Just to add, here is how it looks in the dark:
Looks very nice. However, only the dial itself is illuminated but not the hands which makes it harder to see the time at night.
On the Blackvue, you can go into the settings for "battery protection" and set a "Timer cut-off" of 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours. I have mine set to 12 hours (for overnight parking) and I have no problems at all with draining the 12V battery. The Taycan will recharge the 12V battery anyways so it is...
Ugh -- Porsche is really misreading the market in my opinion; I would like to see less screens and more timeless design with physical buttons, like this:
I want to see a beautiful interior with taste and minimalism -- not the latest tech trinket the engineers enjoy 🙃 (e.g. a curved screen or...
I never liked the standard sport chrono clock and I replaced it with the Porsche design sub-second clock from suncoastparts. This looks so much sharper
Now, it is a bit scary to install since you really don't want to damage the dash leather so perhaps ask a dealer to do it if you are not...
Thank you again @jakeCT for organizing the event! -- besides the start 😅 it went great and the hike was very nice as well. Maybe for next time it would be nice to spend a bit more time cars&coffee style where we can look a bit more at each other's cars?
Anyway, nice to meet some fellow taycan...
I still remember seeing the Taycan prototype for the first time... I was just amazed and the mission-E is still a work of art I think:
and then Porsche actually created the production Taycan!! I couldn't believe how good it looked. And it is so close to the concept -- just timeless design...
Mmm, I thought the A premium was better than OEM because of the active carbon? I would like to get the best filter and willing to pay more... but it seems unclear which one is best 😞
Ah, very cool phone holder/ charger option, looks clean! (but the install is a bit scary :whew:)
I recently got the "nine volt" holder which I installed without needing any tricky install -- but you lose one cup holder...
I was worried about the install as well... but it turns out there is a little cutout and you can just route the wire directly. not as elegant as one can see a bit of wire but I think it looks great and no risk of messing things up  Moreover, I can now easily remove it in case I want to...
It's not great but not too bad either. I would highly recommend running tcan-pro to see the status of the individual battery cells: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/free-tcan-pro-taycan-battery-diagnosis-for-the-community.27701/
(Best if your voltage delta is under 0.05V)
note: I got another taycan (2020 Turbo S) recently, so this is the first SOH report for that car. Always scary to buy without being able to test the battery but fortunately the SOH looks good :)
1) Delivery SoH: unknown
2) Current SoH: 91.95%
3) Current mileage: 3700mi
4) kWh DC charging...
From the link:
"To always maintain grip – regardless of elevation change, tight curves, unpredictable weather, or the varying road surfaces of rural routes—it’s not only the car’s features that are important but also the tyres. Equipped with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4, the Taycan is the perfect...
I just got myself the EVIQO gen 2 (which is now on discount on amazon for about $420). It seems quite nice and it was easy to install. I used to use the J+ booster which is excellent but continuously charging two EV's from a mobile charger like that is a bit much so I just upgraded to the EVIQO...
