  1. Recommendation? EV wall unit 7.4kw?

Around that from dead flat for the big battery, but you will usually be starting with something in there unless you are a lot braver than me :)
  2. Recommendation? EV wall unit 7.4kw?

The problems were with the US version. UK is fine, electrician fits a commando socket for it. I have one in the garage and a Hypervolt charger outside, both work well.
  3. UK App Communication Problems

Mine was eventually fixed by a visit to the dealer for a con box reset. All fine for 6 weeks, now has stopped updating the app again. I'll book it in again, one day they might even manage to update the software and fix it.
  4. All 2019 - 2023 Taycans withdrawn from sale! [** Impacts a small number of J1.1s **]

The article originally said all, it was later updated.
  5. All 2019 - 2023 Taycans withdrawn from sale! [** Impacts a small number of J1.1s **]

So 135 cars rather than all of them. Approximately the used Taycan stock of one dealer :)
  6. App not communicating with car

  7. UK App Communication Problems

Mine hasn't worked since 3rd April. App uninstall/reinstall didn't help. Switching between guest and my profile didn't help. Turning privacy on and back off didn't help. I've emailed the support address, haven't heard anything yet.
  8. Location! Location! Location! Post Artistic Photos of Your Taycan with Scenery

Isn't this supposed to be the artistic photos thread?
  9. Location! Location! Location! Post Artistic Photos of Your Taycan with Scenery

Took advantage of one of Scotland's rare sunny days to go for a drive.
  10. Switching from 20” to 21” wheels - anyone done this?

Pretty cheap to get the wheels stripped and painted however you like.
  11. CT 4 or CT 4S

Having gone from gen 1 CT4 w/o RWS to gen 2 CT4S with RWS I think the RWS is a big plus, feels much more nimble and the reduced turning circle is helpful. Assuming you are looking at S/H you'll probably find 4S tends to have more options, better chance of finding RWS on a 4S. The HD matrix...
  12. Non Porsche 20” wheels with same fitment as stock

Wheelbase alloys can provide wheels from many manufacturers in fitments that suit the Taycan, though some may require adapter rings. Something to be careful of is the load rating of the wheels. The Taycan is a heavy car, many (most?) wheels are manufactured to suit lighter cars, so the risk of...
  13. Non Porsche 20” wheels with same fitment as stock

Specs you need to look for are in this sticky thread.
  14. Porsche Mobile Charger - Standard equipment?

It was in the UK for the J1 cars, looks like it isn't included with the J1.2 cars though.
  15. Just returned a ‘25 RWD loaner for my ‘23 GTS…some differences

A statement about what "modern cars do not use" is not a logical basis to make a statement about what they do use. Without tracking the turning centres each wheel (which are different for cars with RWS, of course) it isn't possible to say whether the steering geometry achieves angles that are...
  16. Just returned a ‘25 RWD loaner for my ‘23 GTS…some differences

Why would you say that when the passage you highlighted says the opposite? On a related note, is reading Wikipedia a substitute for actual knowledge and professional training and experience? All those years we have wasted in universities and doing our jobs when all we needed was a browser :)
  17. How to prevent 12v battery from dying when stored for 6 weeks without trickle charger or charging station?

That leaves the frunk light on, but you can turn it off by activating the lock with careful pokes of a screwdriver.
  18. Collecting 4S Tomorrow - 1st EV Drive Range Anxiety!

Do you already have your Porsche charging service card? Normally takes 10 days or so to turn up. If not, in the meantime you could try Electroverse.
