For me, I get bored with all my vehicles eventually. That being said, I traded my 20 TTS on a 23 CT and am surprised how much I miss the Taycan while waiting for the new one (sitting in port). I firmly believe there is no better daily driver.
I 100% agree with the sentiment that there is...
While this isn't really a "versus" question, I'm curious what other vehicles this community is looking at. What would you add in addition to the Taycan - not as a replacement. I've got my deposit in on the new Hummer EV but am not actively looking at anything else right now.
N can be variable if the wife also has her own Porsches. Mine has two so my N grows to infinity. Way too much fun. I also agree with the comparison and the Taycan doesn't attract as much attention from the big tailpipe crowd on the highway.
My 2020 Turbo S went in for whatever this major software update is called almost 2 weeks ago and it doesn't look like I'll see it back until at least next week. Have others experienced this same thing? I was told it might take up to a week for just the software updates but now I'm being told...
I went with a Chargepoint Home at the house and keep the OEM charger in the car with a 110 plug on it as a last resort backup. The CP is a little smaller, has a much longer cord and charges just as fast.
I'm impressed by how well the GT3 kept up. I have both and the Taycan feels quicker, especially off the line. Something about moving that much mass that quickly just twists your brain.
Almost 4K trouble free miles in the past year. Not because she's a garage queen but between Covid and it being in storage during a move. Driving it way more now.
I've found this locking situation to be an overall Porsche issue and not just a Taycan problem. My 992 does the same thing. The best way I've found to deal with it is to not treat the little notch like a button and "press it" but to just rest your hand lightly on the sensor and take a long...
I just ordered mine from Suncoast https://www.suncoastparts.com/
Good to know they're back in stock, they weren't when I took delivery. I always change the side markers on all my cars. Ordered the Weathertech mats too - winter is coming...
Thanks. That lines up with my experience now as well. For me I don't think I need timers and will just plug in anytime I'm in the garage to top me off at 85%. If I need to go on a long trip I'll direct charge up to 100% right before I leave.
I'll give that a go and report back. I thought minimum SOC would mean it wouldn't even start charging unless it hit that low threshold. Semantics. I currently disabled all profiles and timers and have to monitor charge level and run out to the garage and unplug - not feasible in normal times but...
How were you able to set the maximum limit via a profile? All I see is an option to set "minimum state of charge".
My timer also only added 10% last night instead of topping up to the set 85% so I tend to agree with you that timers aren't quite working yet.
The only way I could find a way to set an upper limit was with a timer, not the profile. The profile looks like you can set some kind of lower limit (not sure what that does) but no upper limit. I'd like to be able to plug in whenever I get in the garage and have it charge to 85%. Right now I...
Here's what I've done so far regarding setting up the free charging (once you have an established Porsche ID):
The Porsche Connect app on Android seems a bit sketchy so I logged into the My Porsche section of the website where there's an option to "purchase" the Taycan Inclusive Plan for zero...
How did you get the Electrify America app setup? There does't seem to be a "Porsche" option under the Premium offers. The one time I tried charging there by swiping I couldn't get any pumps to work. Great info!
