Yes, I agree with that. It happened to me on long downhill roads.
However, I live in flat terrain and drive on same roads, same driving conditions and never occurred before this update.
Sorry if this has already been discussed. Since the OTA software update over a month ago, my car is now cleared of ARB6. However, I’ve noticed something a bit odd a few times: after driving for a couple of minutes, the displayed battery percentage actually goes up.
For example, I charge to...
I'm in the same boat. After receiving email and official letter, both with my VIN and stating OTA ARB6 update is available for my car, the dealer says it actually isn't and I will have to go for another 60 day check in 25 days from now. They will install the update in the workshop.
On 07.07.2025 I got email from Porsche dealer in Croatia.

Dear Sir or Madam,
We would like to inform you that an optimized software update is now available for monitoring the high-voltage battery in your Porsche Taycan. This update is required to be installed as part of...
For a car in this price range, no one should be worrying about spontaneous fires. A Taycan just burned to the ground — almost certainly on ARB6/7, officially “safe to drive.” And some still find excuses for Porsche? Will it take someone dying for people to wake up?
They should increase battery warranty to 10-12 years. That alone could be a game changer and increase their sales of new and old Taycans.
It was said before here:
It's incredible how normalized it's become — and how little pushback there is — when even a prestigious brand like Porsche breaks its promise on a software release. In the end, the software isn’t a real solution anyway — just a way for Porsche to avoid or postpone battery replacements.
In Croatia salaries are always monthly. If you check other positions, those are up to 4-5k EUR gross per month. This one is way less, could be indicative on how Porsche looks at OTA.

They seem to be trying to get as many ARB6 cars to ARB7 status, but would not allow free Porsche Connect subscription for this. I have specifically asked my dealer if active Porsche Connect subscription is required for OTA monitoring and the answer was yes. I am in Croatia, EU, but I don’t think...
It clearly says: " To remedy the safety recall, Porsche is preparing a software update. This full remedy is not yet available. "
So it is just ARB7, in interim remedy.
