I would push back strongly, point out that is an obvious design flaw and that Worldwide they have been replaced under warranty and why should yours be any different.
A further update; my Taycan is back in the garage, yet again, for another heater related issue, despite the updated one which was meant to cure all problems being fitted just a month ago.
Basically, the controls on thec
A further update to the never ending heater saga; my Taycan is back in the...
I have a two year old Taycan and it’s been in the dealership 5 times in the last 12 months for the heater issue, for a total of over 3 months and since November 22 alone for 7 weeks.
It’s had two brand new heater matrixes and numerous fixes, but right up until mid January they still wouldn’t...
I experienced exactly the same issue in the recent cold snap and Porsche have tried to tell me it’s to be expected, as the headlights aren’t sealed units due to the intense heat that can be generated.🤔🤷♂️
The heater function in the Taycan is simply not fit for purpose; my heater matrix was replaced in January and the car has now been off the road a further 3 times since the beginning of November, totalling 29 days, for exactly the same problem.
It is a Worldwide problem and Porsche assist told me...
Your post pretty much reflects my position exactly; my 2020 4S has been in 5 times this year for the heating problem that many are reporting. I had to drive the car 750 miles in -6C conditions and the interior glass froze, leaving me no option but to spray de-icer on a cloth and wipe it every 15...
It took me 7 days to convince them of the error of their ways, but I’d only reached Defcon 3 before they conceded.
If they are being difficult, refer them to all the Worldwide posts highlighting this issue. As I said in earlier posts, it’s an obvious fundamental design flaw and 99 out of 100...
Porsche will try hard not to acknowledge this as a warranty issue but don’t take no for an answer; the design is fundamentally flawed and there will have to be a modification in future models. I persevered after finding both cooling fans were totally blocked with road debris and Porsche finally...
It’s a combination of plastic and a felt like material. There has to be a Porsche modification in the future otherwise there will be an avalanche of complaints. On the face of it you would think it couldn’t be too hard to come up with a solution.
This is the area in the front wheel arch, directly in front of the tyre and behind the cooling fans and air intake. As you will see, there is little to stop road debris/grit/spray entering this area and damaging the fans - it is being widely reported.
It's a different area where the problem arises, the vented area in the front wheel arch, where there is little to stop road debris entering and blocking/damaging the fans.
You need to fight to get the repair done under warranty as Porsche are trying absolve themselves of responsibility for what is a fundamental design flaw; as it stands, there is nothing to stop this problem arising time and time again. I'm astonished that they did not foresee this, or have the...
Both fans completely jammed on my 4S from road spray/grit and Porsche said a bulletin had been issued by Porsche GB stating this was not a warranty issue, but I was not prepared to accept this, as the only reason they had to issue the bulletin is because of the number of reported issues from...
