Thank you Jonathan S. for the suggestion!
I dont think we need the severe snow service rating.
The Conti DWS 06 Plus looks perfect, however not available in 285/40-20 unfortunately it seems
Maybe our best bet for 20" is just to go with the old tried and true PS4's? Happy with them in the wet...
Ok sounds like maybe not the best choice then. :(
What is the consensus today for a daily driver / commuter 20" all season all around tire for the CT4?
Time to replace tires 20" CT4.
Everyone seems to like the Asymmetric 5, but what about the 6? Haven't found much feedback on them. How new are they? N rated?
Maybe the 5 is still the one to get?
Yes THIS......frankly if its not at least 1,500 HP it will not garner much interest especially at the crazy price its likely to be asking. That's just today's reality as insane as that would have sounded just a couple of years ago!
Thanks to this thread we now have the 4 Kodierwert settings now set and saved at ACTIVE and have confirmed the other two were already set as expected. However, we dont see that the rear strip light is now on when the car is outside in the daylight. Seems we dont have DRL on this car at all? (US...
FWIW, here’s my understanding of the situation:
Reading generic OBD codes is a regulatory requirement. You will always be able to do that.
A few years ago, concerned with Porsche’s plans to go EV, the dealers confronted Porsche about the future of their service department revenue.
What this...
Fear sells insurance. The theories remain that:
1. everything most likely and/or known to fail has already failed and/or been repaired or replaced under warranty already; and
2. the business of selling extended warranties is not a charity. In fact, its run by quants and actuaries who set the...
oh and don't forget that as of last year, Texas started charging an extra $200 for annual EV registration:
https://www.txdmv.gov/sites/default/files/body-files/2023-07-25_Electric_Vehicle_Registration_Fee_Release.pdf
I think if your not worried, you aren't paying attention to whats going on here
the answer is not to drive an old analog car or a non-EV like a luddite
this will only become more of an issue in the future and consumers will have to become more technically aware and sophisticated in how they deal...
surprised someone hasn't figured out a way to disconnect the LTE antenna (and replace it with a resistor to avoid an error massage) or just code out the 2 way data?
I think we would lose built-in NAV which from how agonizingly slow it is, seems to be querying a remote database for every...
I dont even think we know what, if any evidence has been presented that an EV caused it:
"The plaintiffs claim that the fire originated from the lithium-ion battery of a Porsche model and allege VW failed to inform them of the danger and necessary precautions needed to transport such vehicles...
what the heck happened to Mamba Green???
It was the press car color for the CT4 and a 1st tier upgrade choice in 2021/22
now it's not even a $13k PTS selection?
Would someone have to pay $20k+ or whatever the crazy cost is for the PTS+ to get a '25 Mamba?
One of the problems here is the traditional dealership arrangement. At least in the US, they very much do not like EVs. They are afraid that their service department revenue will shrink. Porsche has obliged their dealers by, among other things, making module replacement and resetting the regular...
people are not stealing cars with the Flipper Zero. It does not defeat rolling code security. Some intern in Ottawa probably came up with this ban. Makes them look like somewhat less than a sophisticated first-world national government.
so we only had the little reflective blank plates under there. Car did NOT come with any sort of puddle lights from the factory. However, the wire harness is still in the door. The harness goes all the way to the power distribution center so it is wired up to the car, but the logic to provide...
FYI it was my experience with our CT4 which did not have lights there under the doors, that we had to code the puddle lights with PIWIS. The plug and harness were in the doors but no voltage on them until coded.
