Living in S Florida, I really appreciate pre-cooling the car while out and about. I set up a shortcut on my Apple Watch Ultra so all I need to do is hit the action button 5-10 minutes before I get to my car. Over-priced for sure, but worth it for me.
Just got this email from Porsche yesterday...
Over 25,000 additional chargers now available via the Porsche Charging Service.
What you need to know:
You now have access to over 25,000 Tesla Superchargers automatically with your Porsche Charging Service. No activation needed. Just open...
Speaking of the Apple Watch (Ultra), I was able to set the action button to turn on climatization. One touch and the cabin starts pre-cooling. Game changer!
So I go to activate, per above, and the monthly option has been removed. I can only purchase lifetime activation. I called Porsche and they appologized that the option to go monthly is no longer available. Now this really puts a bad taste in my mouth. This is my 7th Porsche and likely my last.
Agree. I activate it twice a year, on my way to and from Maryland from Florida. I thought about buying it outright until I did the math. It would take me 19 years to break even. :)
Not only did they offer to clean the sunroof tracks but a check on the fuel injector too. Not joking. The SA agreed that it was bullsh!t and dropped the price from over $900 to $630.
I stand corrected. I found myself lightly brushing the wheel upon entry at times. Now I need to figure out how to repair. Conditioner and elbow grease made it better but not perfect.
Yeah. It's a bit frustrating.
1. Your driveway doesn't look terribly long. Why not back out all the way onto the street, put it in drive, then hit home link. I'm pretty sure you'll still have to switch out of back-up view but it would save one press.
2. If you can live with only 1...
I don't agree. I noticed a very slight "abbrasion" on the bottom of my steering wheel assuming that I somehow scratched it. I was surprised since I am VERY careful. Lately, I've been noticing more and more. Some even on the top of the wheel. Very odd.
I was quoted $900 and asked to see the breakdown. 2 items that had me shaking my head were listed. Clear sunroof track and clean fuel injector. No lie! I don't want to call out the "stealer"ship as they said it was a mistake and they would edit their services.
I stopped at 10 EA locations on my trip from SW Florida to Maryland last weekend with similar results. Though I was not reaching peak charges, they were all over 100kW except for one. I decided not to wait and hit the next EA charging station along my route. That was the frst time I stretched...
