I’m sitting here at a EA 150 kW station and going at 53kW. I preconditioned and got the battery to 89F and ambient temperature is 37F. Battery at 15% when I started.
I’ve charged at this location in the past and have gotten up to 130kW and I’ve been able to charge as fast as 200kW in the past...
Same issue here (US). Tried to reset with two finger tap but no difference. I went into the car’s sim setting and I see bars for Verizon. There seems to be no connectivity with Porsche servers as I cannot use the Porsche app to precool or see charging status.
If you have access to a dc fast charger or any charger that will tell you how many kWh were used, and know the percentage of where you started and ended, you can estimate the total kWh
Rwd with the standard battery here. 7000 miles on the car, was exceeding epa range regularly with 250 miles on 21” wheels when it was warm. Now in the cold getting around 200 miles on 20” wheels (winter tires)
Now that cold weather has started (temps in the 30-40s for me in Chicago) how has your efficiency changed?
I’ve noticed an increase in consumption of about 25% with colder weather, but I’ve also changed from a factory 21” setup to a 20” winter setup with nfo pzero winter tires and OZ wheels...
As said before, tires are more likely to make a difference than the rim itself. Fwiw, I have not noticed a difference between my 21” Wheel/tire combo and my 20” winter setup.
Live in the Chicago burbs and just put on some p zero winters. No snow yet but plan to daily it unless we have blizzard like conditions. Was able to find some 20 inch oz rims from tire rack that fit.
Personally, I would not opt for the Porsche mobile charger connect unless you really like the aesthetic of the Porsche charging dock. Either use the included evse (Porsche mobile charger) or obtain an evse from a third party. If you’re in North America I would suggest clipper creek or grizzle.
Congrats on the new ride! The infotainment system is very glitchy indeed. Sometimes the center screens will just go dark and reboot while driving. Traffic information shows up and disappears in the navigation map at random times. Dealership doesn’t seem to know much about the car so it just...
First place I’d check is your evse. While I’m not familiar with the ChargePoint evse, you should be able to specify the amperage it outputs. On a 50 amp circuit you should get 40amps. 40 amps x 240 V = 9600watts
Taycan RWD here. Your range will increase over time. My max range with the regular battery started around 200. After a month or two of driving the max range has consistently been at 250. Many others have seen this bump.
I noticed that as well today. Ended up finding them anyway, but they didn’t show how many stations were available I also noticed slower charge rates (57kW on a 150kW EA station with the station set to my destination. Battery temp in mid 80s, starting at 40% charge). Does selecting a Porsche...
You can see the angle in a rear facing seat is less upright in the center seat. However the center seat placement doesn’t seem as secure compared to the outboard seats, probably owing to the shape of the middle hump. Also the middle seat does not have isofix anchors, but it does have a rear...
Yes,
Currently have a Nuna Rava rear facing. It fits, but your concern for the seat angle resulting in a more upright seating position is valid. If my child were younger with less head control I would avoid it. I haven’t tried yet but the middle seating position may have less of an incline...
Hi!
Just got my Taycan, what a great car to drive! Mine came with the Porsche Mobile Charger Connect, but was delivered in the trunk in a shopping bag with random attachments. Also wasn't too happy that there was another VIN associated with the unit when I plugged it in.
From what I've...
