Agreed, I heard this too, Porsche was meant to give all allocations for this year so the dealers can manage expectations for the rest of this year. Although, as they said, that's only any good if they deliver on the promises they have made for the ahead of time allocations they have given!
Had our Taycan Turbo S CT for a week now, I reckon it gets more attention than my old GT3 RS and current GT4 combined. Had someone chase me round the car park to tell me how much they don't like Porsches yet loved my Taycan, especially the colour" (Neptune Blue)
The wait is finally over!! Collected last night, car is amazing, better than I imagined. Will get some more pictures today including interior. Burmester sounds good as well luckily!!
I heard from my local OPC that they haven’t had one GTS ST go in to build yet, and they have a list of around 20 people waiting. The advice was, near to 2 years for a GTS ST if deposit placed today.
Agreed, much prefer the other version.
Agreed, my level of confidence in Porsche getting my car complete before end of May is about 5%. Bigger problems in the world and all that but it's an excitable purchase, that the shine has now nearly worn off on.
Soooo, another update.
The parts manager at my local dealer was with Porsche UK yesterday apparently and the update was:
"You are due an update this Friday on missing Taycan parts"
Slightly different and not as positive unfortunately.
So the plot thickens, as always haha!
Fingers crossed for you dude! Although it does unfortunately highlight the possibility that Porsche are not handing the amps out in order of when cars were built with them missing. One user on here waiting 7 weeks, my car arriving a week before yours yet no news on mine.
But the fact they are...
The dealer means they will not register the car and deliver it until the PCM fix from Porsche arrives. Not that there is a software issue with the license plate!
I heard about a batch of 911’s at my local dealer with the same issue, all awaiting a patch that Porsche apparently haven’t built yet!
I agree it is by design, every Porsche I have had has done the same. Also thinking back my BMW's did the same thing, had to put back into 'individual' each time I got in the car.
Snap, mine was produced early April.
But I would have a pretty good bet that there some Burnester Amps at the production line now, rather than in the cars sitting waiting for parts. There wasnt any there in April it appears, well I hope not anyway!!
7 weeks waiting for Burmester, ouch!
Also I would like to think it is not a existing customers over yours, as I have had quite a few Porsches in the past 5 years and mine is still sat there waiting. I think it is purely down to there being no supply. Although, very much like the electric...
14 days for me, and to be fair to the dealer they have said they will let me know as soon as they are able to order the part. That time has not come yet after speaking with them today. They have been very upfront and said they do not know when that will be. So at least I know I am in for the...
Generally speaking, you'll pay the price of the car per build code and that model year with associated pricing. In other words, a deposit is not a confirmed order, IE, you have not got to commit and they have not got to deliver. Until its a confirmed build slot with signed order form, at that...
Yup, plus 7 months is actually a lot less than the norm, I'm at 11 months today...
No news on my car yet, just waiting to hear when the part is "ok'd" to be ordered by Porsche UK (such a joke and the dealer agrees) and then we will have some idea of delivery and how long to prep the car etc.
