I drive a Taycan metallic black in Dubai with a panoramic roof and the AC is very effective. The cars made for this region (GCC spec) are built for the hot climate and there may be a difference in the AC parts/settings.

Ive been getting a few mixed opinions about charging. 1. Some say its best to let the battery deplete to 20% and then charge unto 85%. 2. Others say plug the car in daily no matter what the battery level is and charge to 85% When is the right to time charge to ensure a healthy battery life?

I got the same answer from the Porsche service center in Dubai.

I just received the official quote from the Porsche service Center in Dubai for the the tequipment including labour, and it turns out to be a grand total of USD2,500!! Now I’m thinking twice…

I got the same response in Dubai. Seems like the message has to appear on the system and only then will they carry out the update. Thy did say some 4s and Turbos have come in for a recall. Not sure if it’s for the same issues.

Thanks for your response. I received the car from the Porsche dealer in Abu Dhabi on June 10 2021 so I’m assuming it has the latest firmware however I have sent it in to the service Center as it’s not acceptable and doesn’t seem to be a common concern.
