I just installed mine as well. And by using the posts about the topic on this forum i was able to install it quite quickly and without any incidents. Lots of thanks to all who have contributed on this thread :)

You'll understand it when you see it. It's quite easy. It's just a rubber...
You'll also be needing an amplifier....and if going down the aftermarket amplifier route, while you are at it, i would have someone put together a tailored aftermarket subwoofer solution instead. It will undoubtedly sound much better.
Not a problem...as you are intercepting the audiosignal between the PCM and the speakers. This...means that you can basically use any hardware you want to...that physically fits.
In general most dealerships, regardless off brand, will answer this when asked about installation of non-oem equipment in their cars. However in this particular instance (audio upgrades) the chances that a well-reputable installer is able to fudge anything up when doing such an upgrade are VERY...
I wouldnt rule out all other good/better brands because someone else has used a particular setup before though. A lot has changed in this particular field the last few years and there are now a lot of other brands that offer the same and/or better solutions.
I for one, would have a long chat...
Knowing this business...in my country... Any well-reputable shop should be able to get you a decent setup that fits your budget and demands. Personally i would then tend to favor wellknown speaker/amp brands.
I love it.... But mainly use it in and around town so pedestrians as well as animals can hear me comming. Oh...and offcourse for spirited driving ;)
Somewhat similar to JRNJTAYCAN's story i had a near accident with a dear last week, and i suppose it did not help the situation that it probably...
DerekS on this forum found the retrofit manual for this a while back it seems, as it came up now when googling some partnumbers related to the acoustic simulator.
And it does seem to have a small'ish controle module...that I wasnt able to find in the partscatalogue... This is probable what your...
External speakers in the front and rear, as well as a pair of speakers in the rear doors for internal sound. And a dedicated amplifier for these four speakers, that seems to be installed in the passenger side of the trunk.
EDIT: Found a picture to illustrate.
Might it be that you were missing one of the outside speakers? There are speakers both front and rear. This would then explain why you experienced the sportsound both before and after they installed the missing component.
I'm afraid you are reading that correctly...on their webpage...it won't give access to the passenger screen if there is no passenger in the seat.
EDIT: This then begs the question. What would it take, and what are the potential ramifications of hardwiring this seat-sensor to always see a...
After i had ordered my car i realized that the standard sills are plastic "logo inserts" on plastic sills, that in my opinion does not look as good as the brushed black brushed aluminium ones. Lucky me, i found out that a local breaker/car dismantling facility had just gotten a 2021 model Taycan...
My old Audi did this almost on ever start-up, as well as every now and then seemingly without cause (self leveling sounds plausible though) but i havent heard this sound at all from my Taycan.
My PPF installer must have removed this oem patch before applying Xpel film to my car, as i do not have this, so i guess it can be removed without hurting the paint underneath.
In relation to mechanical vs air. Having had this in both my old Audi A7 and now the Taycan, I can tell you that the older Audi system that i had....had quite distinctive air sounds when turning it off, and the massage "knukles" retreated. The Porsche seat does not have these sounds at all, but...
I am certain i would find the seat suddenly massaging my arse a tad bit disturbing! :D So...i can happily confirm that the massage seats ONLY handles your back, while leaving the lower more private parts of your backside alone :)
