It doesn't require much computation at all. They already are doing it when you touch the image to change to the version where all distortion is removed. It's a super simple operation that is used on most cameras with any amount of distortion.
They can remove distortion in software. Right now they seem to have an option to retain all distortion or remove all of it. Removing all of it crops the image too much. They should have an intermediate option. It's mind boggling that they handle the distortion correction this way. It makes me...
I scheduled service for this issue. When I went to drive the car to the dealer, I noticed that the SOS light was finally green. I created a new profile on the car and was able to log in with my Porsche ID and now everything seems to be working. I don't know if the dealer did anything, if PCNA...
I have all of those features, but it’s the camera that I’m talking about here. It seems to work fine when I put the car in reverse regardless of lift height. But manually selecting it when moving forward seems hit or miss even on normal height.
I think active park support. I basically want the camera views for parking in my tight garage. I always have the lift on max height to clear my driveway, but never had a problem getting the camera feed before.
I’m now getting this inability to turn on park assist or view the cameras and it says it’s because the chassis is too high. Every day are new SW problems for me…
Were you able to solve the problem? I can't get customer support to respond and my dealer won't look at the car until PCNA says to bring it in with instructions on what to do.
I find this interesting because I've been designing mobile cameras for my entire career and this is the worst miniature camera I've ever seen. Granted, I've only worked on more premium consumer electronics devices, but you can take off-the-shelf lenses and sensors and all you'd need to do is...
I followed up with customer support today after first calling 5 days ago and it looks like nobody has looked at it yet due to their backlog. I hope I can get someone to take a look at this soon.
Whenever I put the car into reverse, the mirrors angle upwards to look at the sky. When I put the car into drive, they don't return to their original position. If I adjust the mirrors while in reverse and save the settings, they still point upward on the next time shifting to reverse. Anyone...
