I am currently in talks with vw finance about the persistent issues i have had with my taycan. Speaking with a lawyer she currently has two taycan cases running. Any updates on the outcome of these cases? My car is currently with Porsche having an update but I don’t want it back, porsche are...
Hey, sorry downer post!
Has anyone had any luck getting out of their pcp agreement early? I have had consistent issues with my x turismo in the first two years of ownership, heater issues constant failings with the 12v battery. I really am at the end of my tether with this car, what started out...
Hey, when the taycan was in for the heater issue they looked at it, they said they stuck foam tape in a few places…it’s slightly less but still there. I think it’s just actually very cheap, needs a better more solid design with less plastic!
Exactly this, if you can see past my early morning rant there was a point. This isn’t the same as an ice refresh.
i disagree, this is nothing like the ice equivalent. This is new territory for all automotive manufacturers, with significant range increases over the outgoing models and the...
I paid £107k for a well specced 4S XTurismo in late December 22, i was offered £55k one year later, the vehicle is in as new condition with 2.5k miles.
Sorry to rant as im sure some are looking forward to this update however for me losing 50% of the value after just 12 months is not a game i can afford to play.
As the chap above said, this is an era of truly disposable vehicles very similar to phones, i am just annoyed i didn’t see this coming.
A masterclass in upsetting your current customer base, my taycan is the worst financial decision I have ever made and now with this it’s worth even less. A refresh should be just that this makes the current car obsolete, now I appreciate new models etc but here with ev’s we have a new dynamic at...
I think the situation in the Uk is more dire than you assume, this is not a normal cycle. I have lost 50% in 12 months on a well specced 4S Cross Turismo with only 2500 miles.
Taycans are piling up in dealer lots, they cant sell new ones, i cant see how the Macan can change this.
The negative...
This is such a bizarre situation, the media is hammering ev’s and the general population seems to be hugely negative towards ev’s.
I just don’t see how you can expect to shift new vehicles when the used ones are seeing such massive depreciation. Had I known then what i know now i would not have...
I was a private buyer so i didn't receive any of the ev benefits, i would agree that the anti ev sentiment has gathered traction lately, its a real problem. I feel like im the one that bought the Betamax player ?
Is the timing really that bad though? How many people actually get a discount on a new Porsche.
I would be suprised if we see the facelift in 2024. I dont have to sell and i wont, there's nothing i could replace it with that would be better imo.
I was expecting this kind or reply but lets be realistic here, i paid retail before the price hike, no one expects to lose 50% in the first year! Im looking for genuine conversation on this situation this isnt a rant.
Surely Porsche will having to do something as i can't see them shifting many new (electric) vehicles, my porsche dealer said demand for Taycan has dropped off a cliff, yet many of us have waited 12-18 months for our cars. What are peoples thoughts on this situation moving forward? more...
I should clarify that i love the car but it is a bitter pill to swallow, i can't even move sideways out of it into something else. the only silver lining here is that i bought on a pcp. It's crazy that i was being offered £5k over list just before i took delivery!
This may be interesting to anyone who hasn't put down their hard earned cash yet.
So i bought my taycan 4S cross turismo (my23 my personal spec) in dec 2022, it is a well specced car that i paid £107k for (before the price hike), i love the car but i am having issues with the fan and heater and...
