I have PDCC on my GTS, and I think it makes a noticeably better ride. I drove a brand new base Taycan (also with air suspension) as a loaner for a week this winter while my heater was getting replaced. I did notice a pretty different feel between the two cars - the loaner was noticeably less...
Yeah, cameras often make it look white, but Ice Grey is really striking in person. I picked it on my GTS - a year in and I still love it, and the contrast it makes between all the black bits.
Heater in my GTS died this winter, and I got it replaced in 1 week (which was mostly just waiting on the part to be shipped). Had a Taycan loaner for the duration. Overall not a big deal, but I also don’t live in a particularly cold climate - heated seat and steering wheel was nearly enough on...
It’ll take some time to be accurate if the car is new. My GTS was showing a little over 180 miles at 85% when I got it in February. 1500 miles later, and 20-30 degrees warmer, it’s around 220 miles.
Bad luck. Been driving EVs for more than a decade at this point and never had one fail to start or charge.
Do you use DC charging heavily? It shouldn’t be an issue, but I sometimes wonder if some of these premature deaths of batteries/chargers can be traced to the stresses of DC charging...
Huh… I turn mine off by locking it. I get out and touch the little mark on my door handle, rather than holding the big power button.
When unlocking it, comfort access always works, however sometimes it doesn’t power on when I sit down unless I press the power button. Separate issue though.
So, my GTS has 21-inch wheels with summer tires from the factory, which is correctly selected in the car’s TPMS settings. This makes the car and app show a desired (cold) pressure of 36psi front, 38 rear based on the deviations shown on screen. My door plate differs though, showing 41 front...
I dunno if things are different in the UK, but I’ve never heard of a loan offer locking its rate for 9 months. Expecting anyone to honor an interest rate from last June seems crazy with how rates have been changing. Usually 60 days is the max.
Is cash an option? I feel like growing your...
I currently own a M3P and a Taycan GTS, which has replaced the Tesla as the daily. General “niceness” on the Taycan is miles better to no one’s surprise. Suspension in particular is vastly superior, and with sport chrono you can decide how much harshness you want with a twist of a knob -...
I too was stressing every online anecdote before I got my GTS last month. Mine’s been nothing but great. The allegation that Porsche is cheaping out on materials is pretty funny to me, as my previous daily was a Tesla that, when I sit in it now, feels like it was made by fisher price. The...
No idea if mine has a new heater or not. It’s working fine so far with daily use though. It did sit at emden for quite a while, almost two months if I remember correctly. At the time I thought it was either that I spec’d burmester, or that SoCal bound transport was heavily backed up.
Recuperation comes on in sport and sport+, and yeah, it feels like engine braking and really transforms the car. It’s strange - I’d read that it’s linked to the car ahead of you, but was surprised and pleased that it’s present even if nothing’s ahead of you. I find it nice for a twisty road...
I read about a lot of worrisome issues while my GTS was on order. Heaters failing, cars bricking, sketchy software… made me wonder if I was making a mistake.
Out of curiosity, I looked up forums for my previous daily driver. Tons of worrisome problems there too, and yet, I’ve seen none of...
I locked my car while my 8 yr old was fiddling with the door handle - it closed with his finger over the top of the handle and gave him a bit of a pinch.
He was surprised and cried, understandably. I ran around the car to see what happened, saw his finger stuck, and was able to lift it open...
I have a sedan GTS that I’ve been driving for a couple weeks, so still maybe not getting full regen. The car estimates are slowly growing, with a 100% charge equating to 225 at the moment.
I’m doing a drive this weekend which is about 200 miles round trip, all freeways, and I’m quite curious...
My concern: the cables on superchargers are pretty short, and designed for Teslas that have their port on the left rear.
If I pull a Taycan in nose first, is it going to be possible to reach the DC port on the side? Would I have to park like an absolute jackass to reach? :D
Had mine (first Porsche!) for barely a week. As others have said - looks great, drives great, everything feels incredibly solid and high quality. I’d seen a zillion reviews and videos so I wasn’t really surprised, but here’s a couple things that I was pleasantly surprised by.
1) When...
Got my car today. It’s gorgeous: extremely happy with Ice Grey, which I can confirm photos do NOT do it justice. In the flesh it’s quite striking and futuristic, with a clear blue-hue in shadows, while shining almost white in direct light. Took it for a rip down my favorite curvy road. Love it.
