I have recently been contacted by Porsche who told me that there is another campaign. This time it’s to fix an issue with the heating and ventilation system which in some of the cars stop working leaving you with no heating or ventilation. Apparently without the ventilation working the car can fog up quite quickly.
just wondering if anyone else has been told this recently or had any issues?

Blimey - Porsche UK have begun the heater replacement campaign. Shit the bed. Can't be real ?

Just had the heater failure issue earlier this week. Took it in Tuesday, was told about this recall, had it repaired and just picked it up today (Friday). Fortunately very fast and efficient but the heat less drive for a day in the <-25C we have been experiencing in Alberta was not pleasant. I’m told it has been replaced with an updated part so this shouldn’t happen again.

I took mine in Wednesday for this. They had the part on hand, and expected me out Thursday...which became Friday...which became Saturday.

Edit: Saturday didn't happen either. They've replaced the part twice but can't get the computer to activate it.

Heater in my GTS died this winter, and I got it replaced in 1 week (which was mostly just waiting on the part to be shipped). Had a Taycan loaner for the duration. Overall not a big deal, but I also don’t live in a particularly cold climate - heated seat and steering wheel was nearly enough on its own.

Thanks for the links. They make worrying reading.
Quite so and a concern when there was a desperate shortage of parts but I am sure there was always a plan to introduce a recall system once parts were available and technicians had perfected the change technique so that the waiting time wa reasonable.
No point in having a recall on cars that aren't broken yet when there aren't parts or the people and, maybe, special tools to fit them quickly.

I see the campaign as a positive as long as the new installation has the fault rectified.

I hope my car has a planned replacement rather than a breakdown.

Having read that even a few weeks back people got the old heater installed after failure and mine is in this week for the heater swap. How can I know if they installed the previous failure-prone one or a new and improved one? Is there a part number that I could check that anyone knows of? Probably helpful for anyone facing the issue or the recall.

If Europe will have the same units as the US, I think you can see if it is a newly designed correct unit by manufacturing date. In the US it was stated that manufacturing date after 14.2.2023 all units should be the new type.

There’s no physical difference or specification to the “upgraded” Webasto’s is there?

They just fixed the production issue with soldering failing on the circuit board correct?

I received the recall email this week. Heater has worked fine since new. They say it's a 'new and improved heater'.

Booked in for first week of February - better safe than sorry

Was there a campaign ID assigned to this, like there was for the HV battery check (APB2)?

There’s currently nothing showing for me in My Porsche, other than that recall campaign. Car was built in November 2022.

I’d prefer to do all the recall/advisory etc. campaigns in one go if possible.

How can I tell when my Taycan was manufactured??? Registration in uk was end March 2023.
With regard to the failing heater matter, the relevant date is the manufactured date of the heater, not the vehicle.
