No, because in a year, the buyers for that market will have already know because they are used to new tech. In 10 years tech would have gotten much further that this will seem old. Also the same reason I don’t see electric cars the same as ICE. ICE will have a retro charm but electric cars will...
I mean between the updates, then trying to fix the seats, and the windows not even rolling up or down, I have drove a Macan more than my Taycan. I didn’t buy a Taycan thinking what fun to drive a Macan…
I brought my Taycan into service countless times already. The seat made a lot of noise, the windows are acting up, and I think the center console has a clicking noise. Now my car is stuck at the dealer because they need to replace the motors in the windows and the parts are stuck in customs. I...
Doesn’t that make buying the turbo or turbo s feel bad? Cause you’re buying essentially the exact same thing just paying more money for them to enter a different value on the computer.
Hello all, I think a lot of us agree that Porsche has limited the power of each model in order to sell the next tier up. For example, 4s could be faster but limited to sell GTS and Turbo. Turbo could be faster but limited to sell Turbo S. I am not sure if this is true fact because I am not a...
I completely agree with this. I think EV 911 does not make a lot of sense other than just for people who want to own a 911 when ICE 911 brand new are no longer available for sale.
Idk if I agree with that right now because I can’t imagine other than body shape, how they will be able to differentiate the 911 from the cayman or the Taycan. If the EV 911 is just a fancier version of the Cayman then I rather hold on to Dino burner forever and just get a Macan EV or something...
I am actually over the whole instant torque thing mostly because I don’t actually accelerate that fast 80% of the time. Also I find that these days I really enjoy the build up of speed.
Hello all, I know that Taycan is a beloved vehicle to people on this forum and I love mine as well, but I have hit too many snags and now considering of biting the bullet and getting a 911 GTS. It would be the first car that if I owned, I would never sell. I love my Taycan but there are too many...
TBH I think lease is a safer way of buying the car because you can always give it back. I usually just look at the monthly and how much money I will be paying driving the car for 3 years. If lease is cheaper than loan for 3 years, I go with lease.
Thank you. I definitely think Macan is more comfy because the way the suspension is setup and the cabin was nice and big. Taycan is just more fun. Though I’d be lying if I missed some engine notes.
I love my Taycan but between the updates, windows catching when opening, and seat issues, I have driven the Macan loaner more than my Taycan. Just a little frustrated that I had to back to my dealer 3+ times for the seat issue alone and each time it takes over a week just for them to test the...
I have creeks when I make a turn but it sounds to me like it is coming from the drivers seat. My dealer said they couldnt find the trouble but I called Porsche and they said worst case you can claim warranty and replace the seat. If dealer won't comply call Porsche again and we'll get it sorted...
I used that in the Audi E Tron but most of the time you only get to use the minus pedal in order for that “engine break” feeling. With power regulation, you could even use it like gear shift. Once you hit 50%, you “upshift”, etc. Or when you slow down due to traffic, you “downshift”.
Idk if this is a stupid idea but I thought it might be cool to have the traditional paddle shifters in cars as power limiters for EV. You can either turn it on or off but when you turn it on, the first setting would to 50% power, then up to 75%, 100%, then maybe a boost like a launch control. So...
