  1. Porsche Wall connect vs third party charger

I Have the porsche charger and a Juicebox. Performance is equivalent but Juicebox adds integrated wifi and better app interface. After a year I've never had any problems with either.
  2. September OTA Update Coming

My business is electronics manufacturing and we tell our customers never to update firmware if the system is working properly. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it! " My CT is working just fine, so is there any reason to apply updates?
  3. Do you charge at your local Porsche dealer?

In general, marketing is very expensive, so this is about the least expensive way I can imagine to market to a fully qualified target group. I suspect that it would be very hard for you to buy your next Porsche from another dealer, if you were visiting this one weekly or monthly. The dealer...
  4. (Super)Charging the Taycan

If you take the risk to dl the tesla app, you will find some super chargers that can be used with CCS ports. There are precious few in the eastern us. Tesla must retrofit the network to support non Tesla evs.
  5. Taycan Charging / EA 150kw vs 350kw

I've taken a bunch of extended trips with my CT4 and I have yet to stop at an EA 350kw charger and get more than 200kw. They are always throttled back for unidentifiable reasons or I am load sharing with other cars using the same bank. The 150s are reality the 350s are fantasy.
  6. Lasted 9 days (Panoramic roof)

My dealer, who has handled this situation very well, says my CT is the only Taycan they have seen this on. My 4th roof seems to be holding with@ 1k miles behind us.
  7. Lasted 9 days (Panoramic roof)

I believe they were on the inside, but I'm not sure.
  8. Lasted 9 days (Panoramic roof)

Coverage is one thing, but the inconvenience of the repair is a pain. I ordered the roof rails from the factory, but I haven't used them. I mentioned this to the service team at my dealer, and they insist that I use them as intended. If I do, will I need a fifth roof, and with they cover it when...
  9. Lasted 9 days (Panoramic roof)

Even if the final factor was contact by a foreign body, it's fairly clear that these roofs are under constant stress by poor design. There is no plausible reason that porsche shouldn't cover this defect. The CT should be recalled.
  10. Panoramic roof, stone chips

I'm waiting for my 4th roof, and the installation is a HUGE process. The entire headliner is removed and reinstalled. 3 days for each service.
  11. Lasted 9 days (Panoramic roof)

I had it changed because I was concerned that the defect (between glass panes) would weaken the roof. Isn't that ironic?
  12. Lasted 9 days (Panoramic roof)

I'm looking for success. My CT4 will shortly be getting its 4th roof, and there is no sign that the problem is under control. FYI I have factory installed roof rack rails. This was embedded in the original roof! I should have left it there.
