Hi,

I've had my Taycan 4S 2020 for a month now and have nothing but praise for the car. Love putting it into Sports Mode and getting the Grand kids to giggle as their tummies are left behind. As winter sets in getting into a warm frost free car without having to de ice windows or wear a wooly hat is brilliant. The car is a head turner and receives many admiring glances from passers by. As per previous post the car came with Night Vision Assist which didn't work but Porsche have ordered a new camera and work will be done under warranty. Running costs are the same as my previous EV (Audi Q4 eTron) and very cheap using Intelligent Octopus overnight at 7 pence per kWH.
Does anyone know if there is a way of adjusting the rear seat belt latches as it is quite awkward to fasten the belts on the Grand kids booster seats which are secured into the Isofix points but the seat belts secure the kids using normal anchors?

I've had mine just over a year and love it. I'm with Octopus too and use the Ohme app for charging permissions as there were too many conflicts.
I find the brakes aren't that great - even after having the recall work done - as they are a bit spongey and you can really hear the hissing of the air.
The only other real criticism would be the heating and the controls. I find the demisting of the front and back aren't as efficient as my BMW was and it's a pin having to go into the PCM to change the direction etc. I also find the blower too loud still, even at the lowest level, but maybe that's because it's a quiet car. However, you can still hear it with the radio on.
Otherwise in the 6,500 miles I've covered no really issues to report. I loved driving it abroad, especially in Germany on the Autobahn!
And it's definitely a head turner. Just today in the car park I had the parking attendant tell me what a lovely car it is :)

I can comment on the air hissing during braking. This sound comes from the use physical brakes when the car has not been driven for some time and you can confirm this by seeing no green regen indicator. The hissing goes away when the regen is fully enabled and the green regen indicator is shown.

I aware that most report very efficient heating and cooling and a few that it struggles to heat and noisy. I know we had a great deal of heater issues and a few noisy A/C fan motors but usually those are very dramatic like no heat or fan is way too loud. I think what you are describing is normal.

Most of my driving is town driving so I have regen on pretty well all of the time. After the recall work was done the brakes were worse than ever and that was confirmed by Porsche Assist. The dealership told me that there was air in the system and their machine that extracts this was broken! Personally I'm not convinced. I just think the brakes are bad

The entire idea of the Brake Fluid Flush is to remove the air and water buildup from the brake lines. I think if they have not done that properly the hydraulics responsible to engage and blend braking will not work properly. I would not be happy hearing from the dealer and experiencing what you are. Universally on this forum anyone who had done it seeing either equal or better braking performance. I can say that I did not have any issues with braking but after the Brake Hose recall and Brake Fluid flush and most importantly PSM Update WPK0 was applied I have seen improvement even though it is not dramatic.

My brakes are spongy too...the OPC did a software update a while ago that seemed to fix it but they've regressed again. It's in for the brake hose recall next week so hopefully will be resolved.

My Macan GTS with the PSCB is lights ahead in the confidence you get from the brakes...my Taycan Turbo with a 0-60 of just over 3 is supposed to stop from 60-0 in 1.5 seconds - not sure I'd even find the bite in that time but I guess in a true emergencey braking scenario, foot to the floor it would be fine

Interested to learn how it compares after the Brake Hose recall and PSM update. I have had mine done about a week ago and the braking performance is getting better each day. Specifically, the blending is more natural with better feedback when physical brakes are engaged.
