I get spam emails from two different porsche dealers in two different states. the emails are advertising deals and offers on new Porsches. in the email every model is listed as you scroll thru the email EXCEPT the taycan. No mention of it it in any sales advertisements. It can't be an accident. Porsche and/or Porsche NA dealers are not advertising a taycan to me via their typical email channels.

If sales go under 10k annual, the risk to discontinue (Taycan) become critically high due to financial reasons. Panamera decline is even higher, merge Taycan and Panamera is the minimum as a future or killing both making Porsche only SUV and Sports Car brand.

All together in the last couple of years China market become smaller than German market, especially become the smallest market from the biggest market in only 3 years that puts Porsche in the situation not to make or develop "dead" products like Taycan and Panamera.

It’s very telling that the Taycan 'word' isn’t mentioned even once, not even tucked away in some line or corner although all other variants including the finished 718 are mentioned.
With the new CEO saying that they want to sell less for more, and focus on the core of Porsche, it is basically as good as confirmed that come 2028-2030, taycan is gone.
There's too much competition from china in the 4 door segment, nowadays even in europe, at much better prices.

Wouldn't be shocked if by 2030 Panamera becomes a 300-500k a luxury sedan with all 3 power trains; the new K SUV becomes the luxury SUV, 911 as the luxury ICE/Hybrid 2 door and 718 as the EV/Hybrid 2 door sports car - and all other models to be discontinued.

They are very clearly seeing themselves as a competitor to Ferrari, all moves and all investor presentations point at them wanting to become like Ferrari.

I have answered the powerpoint Presentation Porsche AG 2026 1st half deliveries powerpoint.
No word about the Taycan but all others as:

"Cayenne remained the bestselling model.
All-electric Cayenne deliveries started in
late June.
Macan volumes declined, reflecting
prior-year ramp-up effects and the
phase-out of EV incentives in the US.
911 deliveries confirm the sustained
demand for Porsche’s core sports car.
Panamera deliveries declined, primarily due
to a temporary product gap in China,
addressed with the launch of the Panamera
Pure from April onwards.
718 deliveries decreased following the end
of production in October 2025."
