The Taycan is absolutely the quietest vehicle I have ever driven!
I've had the car for a week and mostly been driving around town. Now that I have my phone mount done the way I want it, I decided to do a little highway trip. I took her out on the interstate for about 40 miles. One of the things which bugged me about my Model X is the amount of wind noise in the car at highway speeds. Mostly from marginal door seals, firtment, alignment etc, I think.
I rolled out onto the interstate and onto some very new asphalt (no seams) for quite a long way. I turned off my music and the "sport exhaust sound" and just listened to the car. It is deathly quiet. Basically, all you can hear is the sound of the tires rolling along. I drove like this for probably 30 miles in complete amazement. I have never ridden in a vehicle so quiet. (I highly recommend the thermally and acoustically insulated glass).
After miles and miles of this, I turned on the Burmester and fed it something with a lot of dynamic range: "Moody Blues - Days of Future Passed" (FLAC via USB). "Nights in White Satin" was particularly amazing. So this is what a Concert Hall sounds like at 80 mph!
Well done Porsche!
