Was on a ferry today, went upstairs on the boat to relax. Then there was an announcement on the PA system telling me to return to my car because my alarm was going off. Funny enough there is an etron here with his alarm going off as well.
So my question is - how do I lock my car and not have the alarm set? ?

This is sheer speculation, but if it's being triggered by the "tilt" sensor, you might try disabling:

Setting -> Vehicle -> Vehicle locking system -> Interior surveillance

If you've subscribed to the Porsche Vehicle Tracking System, you can set transport mode and service mode in the app:

But there are caveats -- see this post:
LOL at 'caveats'. Yes, the alarm going off on the ferry is better than the car being immobilized by its security system on the ferry and having to repeat water crossings until it can be recovered......

Oh, they would just push me off the boat and leave me at the dock, away from others to avoid getting in the way. Lol

Or double click the lock button. The car will respond with three blinks and the alarm is turned off. Lots of ferries here in Norway and the car deck is always a cacophony of car alarms.

I read this thread before a recent trip on a ferry. Previously, I have done the same ferry trip and not done anything different to normal locking procedures and the alarm went off.

This time, I can confirm all I did was drive onto the ferry and switch off the car...on the centre screen there is a pop up message mentioning interior surveillance with a blue tick in the box. Tap the box to remove the tick. Get out and lock as normal. When the ferry moved loads of alarms going off but mine wasn't.

On the ferry last week, double click upon locking. No alarm.
