Does anybody know how to get access to the audio cables in a Taycan ?
I would like to extend the audio system with an under-seat sub woofer. But I need to find a place to connect it.

Does anybody know where the audio is coming out of the PCM ? Or how it is routed to the speakers in the doors ?

If you have the standard soundsystem, you can intercept the audiosignal behind the radio. If you have Bose or even Bürmester, you can use the accesspoint on the oem subwoofer. But as you mention you want to add a subwoofer, i would suspect you have the standard soundsystem? :)

Yes, standard system. I wanted the extra space in the trunk.
Therefor I would like to go for an under-seat subwoofer instead.

Any idea how I can access the audiosignals behind the radio ?

I personally have not seen the radio mainunits placement in a Taycan yet, but looking at Porsche partscatalogues...it seems to be located in the dashboard right behind or somewhere under the main screen.

And when you locate it, the four pins I've marked in this picture are the speaker outputs.

Thanks for the info.
I tried to get access to the back of the main screen from the drivers side. But so far did not get 'deep' enough to really see this box.
I also tried to get access to the cables going to the doors via the fuse boxes. But that was also not possible.

I've now tried using several other sources aswell...but i still cant find a picture or an illustration that tells us exactly where in the dashborad the main radiomodule is located...sorry.

This picture is the closest indication i can find....

Thanks for your effort. This gives a good view of what i actually have to look for. I assume this is behind the main screen.

I am still hoping somebody actually already did it and can explain how to get access to the audio cables.

Thanks to the info provided by @tigerbalm and @lpher I found the audio cables and was able to install the under-seat subwoofer.
I installed a 'Caliber BC108US' under the passenger seat.
Audio cables were accessible via the driver side foot space towards the PCM system and 12V power from the fuse box at the passenger side foot space. Cables went under the carpet.
Looking back, it was not that difficult to do.

The standard speakers are not bad but they seem to be selected to be used together with a subwoofer. They are very weak on the low tones. It works well in combination with a subwoofer.

I have now good audio quality and a bigger trunk/boot (no subwoofer in the trunk/boot).

This is great. Could you share some photos if possible please? I would love to add under seat subwoofers

I want to install the same setup, so where did you find the audio cables? Thanks in advance
