Has anyone fitted this autowatch Ghost to their car and has it had any adverse effect on the car's electrics?

Have it on my RS4. Apart from some initial challenges ( on my side) works perfectly. No issues whatsoever.

I don't think it would cause any issues but wanted to be certain before getting it fitted

Its a great device. I would look to install again. Gives extra protection against key cloning etc.
If someone was to break in and take the keys, by the time they realise that the car wont start (without the special code) - you would have had time to alert the police etc.
It didn't reduce my insurance premium sadly.

I had a ghost on my previous two cars and currently have one on the Mrs Gen 3 Macan. My installer currently does not recommend and will not fit a ghost to a Taycan at this point in time. They previously fitted one but when the customer got a software update done the dash lit up like a Xmas tree.
Ghost removed and everything back to normal. On that basis they currently refuse to fit one to the Taycan at this point in time.

Why the interest in this product vs PVTS+ option from Porsche?

I was tempted with PTVS but that just allows you to track (don't know if you can immobilise) whereas Ghost stops car from moving in the first place if sequence of buttons arent pressed

It’s been listed as compatible for quite a while now. Ghost is a electronic immobiliser whereas PVTS is a tracker.
Porsche will attempt to void your warranty if you fit a ghost (as will other manufacturers like BMW). With an ice car there’s an argument to be had that ghost wouldn’t cause issue. However with an EV it’s a different story. For me the car is too expensive to risk the warranty.

I thought the same hence i fitted Porsche dashcam rather than have my blackvue refitted

That’s what my thinking was when I got mine. Let it be their problem if anything goes wrong. However as well as not having any stock available my SE advised against it.
