Hey everyone! I previously posted https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/chicago-meetup-interest.16845/. Most of this will be a copy/paste of my latest message on that thread.

I've been talking with a friend who owns River North Hand Car Wash about that Cars & Coffee meetup I mentioned. Good news—he's thrilled to host us! ? And we settled on next weekend! I will be there the entire time with my 2022 Taycan GTS Sport Tourismo in Neptune Blue wrapped with satin XPEL PPF!

Details:

? Date: September 9th, 2023
Time: 9am - 12pm
? Theme: Casual Porsche Cars & Coffee Meetup
? Location: 1317 W North Ave, Chicago, IL (It's near that big Home Depot on North Ave, entrance on Elston)

Here's the lowdown:

? The first 50 Porsche owners get a free car wash

? Parking: The facility has ~50 spots that will be reserved for the first 50 registrations through EventBrite. This guarantees a parking spot for those who sign up for it. If you're driving something other than a Porsche, you're still welcome to join the raffle and opt for the $20 car wash, but on-site parking will be limited to folks who signed up only.

Coffee's on the house.
? There will be complimentary pastries

Those of you coming in non-Porsche vehicles can still signup for the raffle and option to get a $20 hand car wash and walk through the event, enjoying the coffee, pastries, and car displays while your car gets spruced up.

Also, to promote their new location, they are running a raffle to give away a free 1 year membership to either of their locations for free hand car washes.

Quick heads-up: I'm helping set things up but I'm not the official organizer, and I'm not getting any kickbacks for this. Just thought it would be an awesome way to get a casual Cars & Coffee up for the Chicago scene and some cool perks for folks who want to come by.

Hope it was a great event! Sorry, I just haven't taken my 1 year old Taycan into city limits.
Maybe the next one could be at some scenic spot around O'hare or Oak Brook Center??

Speaking of last Saturday, our CT was supposed to be at a local festival. Minneapolis Porsche came through with a service loaner that we could use (a lovely '21 RWD with the premium package) many thanks to them. The car was well received and would have been the hit of the event if not for what they parked us next to.
