Boot not closing fully

My boot has stopped closing fully as if there’s something obstructing it. I’ve comforted pack opening and closing which all seems to work fine except the closing which goes down but then reopens a small amount.
it can be pushed down but I’m finding it annoying as Incant see any obstruction

Had same on a 22 Cross Turismo.
- I greased the steel u shaped thing that locks into the base of the boot.

Worked!!?!
