Is the Audi dealership near you taking deposits for the e tron GT? I debating of doing the same thing.

The GT version yes, the SUV should be available very soon (first half of 2019 if no further delays).

I believe wing mirrors are currently required by the DOT in the US. I for one am really looking forward to seeing that requirement go away.

The fact that the Mission E description highlighted their removal implies that Porsche is keeping track of pending legislation. The production car should include the replacement technology. If the law takes a couple of years to catch up, I’m fine with magnetic or other non-marring exterior temporary installations.
