Hello everyone,
Do you know if an old Taycan can upgrade to the latest ACC display on the dashboard like in the picture below ?
Thank you :)

Oh ? thank you for your feedback!

Yes, the picture on the right actually shows a Macan 4 dashboard. I couldn’t find a J1.2 image, but I assume it should look quite similar.
I experienced a similar UI in the 2024 Audi RS6, and it’s fantastic — a huge improvement over the old style.

I guess this means it’s technically possible, but it really depends on what Porsche decides to offer in future software updates for older models. Fingers crossed, because this is a must-have for geeky drivers like me! ?

I know ? Tesla probably has the best UX/UI out there, but... it’s a Tesla — not exactly my dream car ?. I’m thinking about getting an old J1 CT Turbo, but I’m also in love with the new UI. I guess I’ll have to wait a bit for some second-hand opportunities on the J1.2. And honestly, the new Macan has totally stolen my heart too.

PCM hardware and ECUs between taycan j1.1 and j1.2 are very similar. So the car could support the update. It's more of a question is porsche decides to release a campagin to update the software, as they did in 2022, and cover the costs. It's quite a few hours in the service to update all ECUs and the like.

They are actually doing this on j1.2 right after they launched it, with WRV3 update, which requires all ECUs to be updated at a service shop.

Thank you for your input. Makes sense. It would be interesting to ask a Porsche dealer about the cost of doing it, if possible—especially for those who don’t expect Porsche to offer it on J1.

I’ve been searching the web for quite a while to find information about this UI upgrade but haven’t had any luck. It’s almost a must-have for me.

Thanks, Taycan forum! ?

Left pic: a 2022 CT Turbo. I’d like to upgrade the driver assistance system to the latest UI I’ve seen in action on a Macan (right pic)— and likely the J1.2 (if someone can confirm ?).

That's exactly it. Thank you for your input.
Imagine the guy being told his J1, bought in 2024, can't have the latest dashboard because his Taycan doesn’t have the right facelift ?
