2022 Taycan 4s fully charged at a fast charging station only gave me 220 mile range. At home I recall getting above 250. Any ideas?

the range "estimate" shown in the Taycan is based on recent driving consumption and is a guesstimate - it is highly influenced by recent consumption…

if you want to estimate range to a destination input the destination in to the PCM nav and see what it thinks will be left when you get there...

the range "shown" will go up/down and is mostly meaningless outside the context of terrain, weather, speed, highway vs. city etc…

220 miles / 350 km is the normal long distance range. It is not the fast charger it self but probably you are doing a longer trip and therefore use a fastcharger and you have set a destination. On long trips and set destination the range estaimate is actually very accurate. I becomes a guesstimate on short trips without navigation.

220 miles / 350 km is the normal long distance range. It is not the fast charger it self but probably you are doing a longer trip and therefore use a fastcharger and you have set a destination. On long trips and set destination the range estaimate is actually very accurate. I becomes a guesstimate on short trips without navigation.
I drove 750km yesterday across Austria & Switz before getting to our hotel near Mont Blanc. I then charged up overnight and got 422km (263 miles) - I haven’t had the update done yet as it’s booked for early Sept when I get back to the UK.

Hi I am driving down from UK to Spain at the moment and using all the fast chargers , which are IONITY I am only getting about 220 miles. In Uk was getting about 280
So must mean I need to adapt my speed etc ?

You probably didn’t do a lot of 130 km/h highways. I had a similar range driving through Switzerland with a lot of 100 km/h highways.

Did you actually drive 422 km or was this the range after charging your car? If this is the range estimate you got after 100% charge and setting a destination for a long trip you are probably not taking the highway

I also get 400 and more guesstimates but not with a destination for a long trip on the highway

It was a whole mixture of different speed limited highways (but also including a bit of unrestricted in Germany). It was this morning after charging overnight that the battery said 422km.
I did also put a post on last week about driving through the UK to get to the Channel Tunnel - started with 249 miles on leaving home. Drove 212 miles and still had 76 miles of range when I got to the hotel near the Tunnel.
For the record - I only used IONITY chargers (other than at hotels) and had no problems at all with them whilst driving 2,000+km in Europe the last 10 days - very happy with their charging effiency.

When setting a destination with long stretches of 130 km/h highway the range estimate will go down to 340-350 km on a full charge. Which is actually very accurate. My last trip in Austria included a 45 km downhill stretch before the highway and then it gave me a 390 km range estimate because of the free down hill drive.

45km downhill ?? Did you get lost and come down the Cresta Run :)
