I'm sorry that this is in Finnish, but you can get an idea how to replace a broken battery cell.

The cost was "few thousand euros" using an used standard battery pack filled with some cells/packs from the original PB+ battery.

I do believe this competence will spread

Here's a real example. I go visit my parents in the middle of a mountain. The fastest charging infrastructure supported there, by the electricity lines in place, is 22kw. Now, I would much rather swap my battery in 3 minutes than charge for 9h my zeeker with 140kwh battery.

Back down the mountain needs no charge, why swap?

Another scenario: I can't afford a zeeker with a 140kwh.
I would much rather buy a NIO with a battery subscription, at a franction of the cost since battery prices are not included, to drive to work and back, and spend 15 Euros a week to swap the battery in 3 minutes. And if I need to go out of city, bam, a 140kw battery gets swapped in for let says 25 euros.

bam, the charging station is closed. Wait the next one is open, but has no 150kWh only older ones with 100kWh on 90% SoC. Sorry, all makes no sense!

NIO without battery is almost as expensive as others with battery! The batteries get cheaper by the day, why spend endless lots of money for renting. NIO is really expensive (compare price when you buy the battery, OMG!!!), but not luxury enough. The ET5 I sat in a couple of years ago could not even adjust the seat high enough, so that I could sit conmfortably. I am 1.80 cm, total average! Built for short Chinese only???
