On Monday this week (17th of Feb) my Taycan stopped talking to the App, Car has a reasonable 4G signal, I've tried re-installing the App, logged a fault with Porsche who are saying that it will probably take a week to respond.

Anybody else having the same issue? and does anybody have any tricks or tips to bring it back on line?

Have you been having 12v problems? I’ve noticed after a couple days without driving, 12v is nearly depleted and I lose connection from the app. Door handles will also not present themselves as I approach the car.

12V All good, No other problems that I know of.

My assumption at this point is that the issue is server side and my account needs a reboot, shame it's only something that Porsche can do

Me!

Have tried reinstalling the app, logging out etc... But no dice.

I haven’t logged out at the car end yet which I'll try. But it's stuck thinking the car is preconditioning and never plugged in.

It's also not talking to my charger.

And this post prompted me to open the app to get a screenshot of what was happening... And it's connected now!

Well thats good to hear! - did you contact Porsche or did it just Automagically repair its self?

You say you 'hadn't tried logging out in the car' - didn't know you could! - how do you do it?

Automagically ? (And just hit remote precon and it still seems to be working).

For the account login in the car:

After experiencing this issue last month and having it resolved a week later, the problem has reappeared this week. The app can no longer access the car. It seems that the connection from the Taycan to the central Porsche servers is offline again, as I don’t have any data connection (in the car) or whatsoever.

I am still logged in and do not plan to log out to avoid having to drive in guest mode for a week. Think its just a matter of waiting to see when Porsche fixes the issue again.

In the car’s PCM, does it have LTE showing, or a symbol with 2 opposing arrows (looks like a struck-through = sign). ?

I have had the same connectivity issue twice this week. I was monitoring charging at home and twice the app shows no progress on charging despite saying the data was just updated. When I go to the car the charging is active or has been completed. I deleted the app and logged back in and that seemed to resolve the problem, but it later recurred. I suspect this is related to app updates and bugs in the software.

The thing you need to establish is which side of the Porsche server is the problem. Ie app to server or car to server. If it’s the car side (issue I’ve had ) it’s hard to self fix, if at all.

There is of course occasional Porsche server outages which are also in the mix.

Indeed the car has full LTE and also wifi connectivity (at home). As PCM apps like spotify and internet radio run via the Porsche central services, these are also not working.

Don’t think it’s an app issue. Did a reinstall twice, but didn’t solve the problem. App doesn’t get update, it still thinks that I’m enjoying my skiing trip in Italy ?
