Couldn’t set car to D

My wife complained yesterday that after she reversed from a parking lot, she couldn’t set the car to drive forward. She said she set it to “D”, but it didn’t want to drive forward. She set it back to “R” and it worked flawlessly- the car was driving back. She tried 3 times and the car finally started to drive forward. After a short while (while she was driving), multimedia rebooted (not sure how it’s related).
Has anybody experienced something similar before? There were 0 errors on the dashboard
