Neither PTS nor deviated stitching for CY23

Just got word from SA that for entirety of calendar 2023 there will be no Paint to sample and no deviated stitching on any trim of any model

exceptions are packages such as those with GTS

and possibly for the deviated stitching if already part of the build.. same for floor mats

I had heard the same thing from my SA in February, that a stop order was in place for PTS and deviated stitching except for the GTS Interior Package with Deviated Stitching. I elected to get the GTS Interior Package with Deviated Stitching on my GTS order as a result of this (was intending to get a leather interior with deviated stitching prior to the stop order).

Interesting, so in lamest terms anyone who hasn’t configured an order yet wouldn’t be able to spec PTS on a taycan?

How does that work for the configurator? They just added quite a few new colors, quite a confusing strategy to block PTS for exterior colors on all trims.

The configurator lets you specify the LCD glass roof but you can’t order that either.
I am told this is a calendar year restriction on the PTS.
Maybe if you order now for CY24 delivery you will be ok.

Hmm, by the "LCD glass roof", do you mean the VLC roof? I have it on my GTS order (freezing on Sunday) and wasn't told of any issues like I was for PTS and deviated stitching. ?

Hmmm more so the PTS slots for remainder of MY 2023 are all fully booked!

Usually you’ll have the best chance with PTS when inquiring around May ish… this is around when the allocations for the following model year gets released!

we kept on hovering around our SA last year and get in the first day when he told us the MY2023 order banks open. Secured a Dec 2023 allocation, and “applied” PTS with Porsche for approval.
Thankfully things work out and we are able to do PTS for the DEC allocation
It definitely will require a lot of patience!

again, it’s not “discontinued” more so sold out/ fully booked.

Plus May is right around the corner! Get in contact with your SA for MY 2024 PTS!
