This usually means very bad news. I like this youtuber from the UK, he is in the middle of it. I am not certain of the difference between a red and a yellow color warning. His is red and it is totally dead. Please keep us posted as none of us are immune to this type of failure at any moment.

Well, the orange one resets itself when the car goes asleep.
I had it once, didn't occur again.
It can mean a 12 Volt Battery failure, a HV battery having moisture inside, a defect cell in the HV Battery, a heater failure, an onboard charger failure or a defect in the "AC/DC unit" (Wechselrichter in german)

But: it could also just be a hick-up.
Do you have warranty?

I had this flavor and it turned out to be the 12v battery. Fun fact, they had to replace the replacement 12v battery because it was also bad.

Thanks all. Porsche roadside were impressive at 25 minutes! It reset by closing locking and re-opening.

It does seem to be worried about the 12V battery - sitting in car it says "PCM will only play while battery is charged"
or something similar, will get a photo.

But in this instance I'd just disconnected a Tesla Superchargger after a sucessfull charge so assuming the 400-800V DCDC step up converter fell over.

Looks like that DCDC reset took the CAN down - 4 pages of CAN errors across many units.

Will get the 12V battery checked too. It's in at Porsche on Friday morning for a diagnosis.

Will keep thread updated. Thanks for the tips.

I get the odd message about accessories drawing too much power though all I have is a USB thumb drive of music.
I haven't had a warning or obvious failure to function though.

I chose that nickname in the early 1990s when the www started. I retired from F1 15 years ago.
FWIW my current picture is me with Charlie Whiting at his first F1 race, as a mechanic, in 1978 at Buenos Aires.

AH marvellous!! I started just a wee bit later in 1991 at Cosworth then through Mercedes and McLaren. Still just about hanging in there!! Not quite ready for pasture yet!

So as an update to this thread, the Porsche Breakdown response were epic. As the car (which was embarrassingly blocking one bay on a full supercharger station at the new MK Tesla service workshop) they were there pretty quick at 20 minutes from call!!

Quick reset and an HUGE number of mostly CAN comms faults, the car was up and running again. It was in Porsche Silverstone on Friday and of course no fault found but they aren't able to test it on a 400V charger and I don't think they even tried to charge it.

It was the supercharger that caused the problem as it's a 400V station (the first I'd used) so it will be interesting to see if it happens again and whether the problem turns out to be in the 400-800V 150kW step up unit.

It charges without any problems at all at 800V chargers (well except Ionity Cambridge which is barely manages to break three figures kW!!) :(

Clearly something happened that caused 4 pages of faults.....

Anyway, thanks for all the responses folks!

Cheers,
Ruaraidh
