My car is waiting on a new AC charger for past six weeks (see: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/t...-ac-charger-installed-anyways.4023/post-81910).

I had the car recovered to my Porsche Centre at 4% state-of-charge and it held there for past few weeks. Now, it appears to have dropped to zero and I am getting "charging issue" alerts every few hours from the Porsche Connect app.

How concerned should I be that irreparable damage could be done to the battery at such a low stage-of-charge for many weeks?

Have you contacted them? Why don't they charge the car?

Car can’t be charged (AC or DC) as its waiting on parts - charger replacement for past few months.

I'd say it's Porsche's issue (to protect your battery 8yr warranty) if there is the potential for problems down the line. It seems ridiculous to me to have to wait so long on this part or that they can't arrange something interim to enable DC charging in its place.

I know you have been an early adopter of the 22kW AC option but I'm glad I didn't spec it and have only ever used 11kW twice (underground parking) which is pretty impressive over my usual 7.4kW home charging.

Good news is the warranty repairs are documented so if you run into battery issues you're covered for 8 years.

when my model 3 was rear ended the car sat for 5 months without being charged, there was no apparent damage caused by this. there is a story of a tesla being stolen in canada, put into a shipping container and recovered months later, again no apparent damage to the battery pack
