That's so funny. Last night I was thinking.. there should be a portal emergency battery I can carry or have available. Then, *poof* here it is! Now if it could only be recharged via solar. Soon the panorama roof will be a solar panel and charge the battery too!

this has been discussed ad nauseam on many EV forums and the consensus is that at the current state of solar charging a roof panel could barely provide a minimal level of charging and the added weight would be a net loss of kwh

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has one in their top-of-the-line model. It is used to charge the 12V battery only.
