Just agreed 16th Nov to collect my CT-Turbo (PTS Acid Green)..... here is the sequence of key events in the process.... just FYI on timing....

- 21st October deposit placed on Turbo-CT - estimated delivery Q1 2023
- December 2021 - was advised delivery could be end November 22 - changed paint to PTS
- January was told because of PTS order allocation had come forward to July 2022 - rejected that - partly because I wanted MY23 - and partly because my A7 PCP lease ended Nov 2022
- April, was advised that because I had rejected July - build was now likely to be October 2022 - but no allocation yet
- May got the Phase 1 notification - "Order accepted" - OPC advised Sept 22 build allocation - delivery in early October - but could be delays.
- June got Phase 2 'PEC' - offering a slot in July - had to reject because of family commitments - re-arranged to early August
- end of July - got Phase 3 - car is 'scheduled for production' - OPC advised build now 30th Sept - delivery now mid-October (ish) - but to expect delay
- August - had to cancel PEC because of family illness rearranged to September
- September had to cancel PEC because of family illness - re-arranged to October (cancellation)
- end of September advised build pushed back to 14th October - delivery end October - nothing to indicate spec omissions
- October - had to cancel PEC because of family illness - still not re-arranged yet.
- Oct 14th Advised build now pushed back to end of October - delivery now mid to late -November - nothing to indicate spec omissions
- Oct 21st advised car was actually built on 20th October - expect delivery now brought forward to early November - nothing to indicate spec omissions
- Oct 30th received the Stage 4 notification 'car is built' - 10 days later than OPC's build notification.
- Nov 1st (today at OPC) - car confirmed - here in the UK ...... (so the OPC build date was correct).... It will be with OPC by 4th Nov & could be picked up anytime from 10th.......
- Agreed 16th for collection (family commitments).

thanks for detailing this! as someone who is pretty much at the first line on this list, I'm in for a very long wait!

at what point did you have to lock in your spec? were you told the lock in date when you received allocation?

I locked it 21st June shortly after I got the slot allocation. This was earlier than absolutely necessary (normally).

I had arranged a catch-up meeting with my OPC just to discuss finance options - delivery process etc. But when I got there, he said they had intel of a possible hike in price and interest rates - not certain but likely - and advised to lock it in there and then. This would allow him to confirm 'final spec' and finance offer etc - This turned out to be good advice, since there was a hike shortly after it was fixed and I was protected.
