Car has been plugged in and has charged. However cannot remove cable from port. Have locked/unlocked car etc several times. No joy. No light blinking or showing on the catching port and when pressed, cannot disengage the cable. Any workarounds?
Thanks!

there is a manual cable release in door jam area - search for "release" in the owners manual in the Porsche app…

also try releasing it from the lower central screen
or shifting the vehicle into drive…

Thanks Dave. The manual release was not accessible as the car is in the garage and cannot open door far enough. Engaging drive and the trying cable again did it ! Have a great New Year and thanks again!

One word of caution: had this problem when travelling a 1000km from home. Pulling the manual release disengaged the DC charger (safety feature) and required a reset at a Porsche garage. Handle with care!

The very first time I fast charged the car I had a cable release issue (what luck!)..got desperate but as a newbie did not understand all my options. By pure luck, stumbled onto the "fix" of putting it into drive: it worked but was dumb luck (and only recommended for the desperate!)

(It does not help that the cable release light is invisible in bright sunlight - so that creates its own issues....)

To add some more details, the reason putting the car into drive releases the charging lock is because when you are charging and put the car into drive, it has a safety check, by which it stops charging and give you a warning to remove the cable - and also disengages the lock. It will also not actually allow you to drive tho'. Ask me how I know... ??

By way of an update....cable jammed (NS) yesterday again and couldn't get released. Car undriveable!
Porsche Assist called (AA) and he eventually got it unlocked with advice that I should be careful in considering trying the other side side as the same may happen.
Called Porsche OPC today and first booking is just over 2 weeks (as a 'favour' but no loan car) and when asked about how I charge meantime safely/reliably, I could almost sense the shrug at the other end..."call Porsche Assist and they'll have to arrange a loan car for you"

Genuinely never, ever had a car with so many issues and recalls
