My used CT does not have night vision.
However, the StoNSho places your license plate so low, essentially flush with the lowest edge of the vehicle, that any sort of sensor placement there seems highly unlikely.
The night vision camera appears to be really really low. When I am sitting at a stoplight, all I can see is the undercarriage of the car in front of me.

The contrast in this picture is poor (sorry!), but if you look carefully you can see a camera that is located about two inches up and two inches to the left of the top left corner of the license plate.
The night vision camera would have be located even further down and off center to be blocked by the plate.

I live in NJ where a front plate is required (although there was a bill in the legislature to ditch that requirement - not sure if it went anywhere).

I refuse to put a front plate on my Taycan. I’ve been pulled over once for speeding and nothing was mentioned about the front plate (and cop let me go on the speeding with a warning!). I think a lot of cops look the other way on high end cars. I researched it and in NJ it’s a $100 fine and not a moving violation. I figure I can get and pay 20 tickets and it still would be the best aesthetic option on my car.

Obviously YMMV on the cops and states likely have different fines.

Thanks, I think it's more centered than that. Turns out Sto-N-Sho is (relatively) local to me, and it's the first sunny day we've had in a while, so I made an excuse to go pick it up in person.

Live in California. Currently a reserve police officer.

Personally, Haven't had a front license plate for 20+ years.

Little insight
In a nutshell. Police/CHP don't care. And honestly, 99% of the time, is never the reason we pull folks over. I remember a decade ago during a morning standup, lieutenant says, "...don't want to hear from the chief again that some fkn' citizen is complaining we are harassing them for a license plate. we don't have time for that sh*t..." And another tidbit, if you ever do get pulled over and the officer is saying it is because of your front license plate, TRUST ME, it is NOT because of your front license plate. They are curious about something else....

I’ve not had a front plate on any of my cars in Texas for over 10 years. I’ve passed many cops and have been pulled over for excessive acceleration and rolling through stop sign and lack of front plate was never even mentioned. One of the first things I tell any SA is do not put a front plate on when prepping for delivery bc that Is a deal breaker.

Just pulled over this morning in my Cayenne, solely for no front plate (in TX). Windows aren't tinted, and I am a middle aged white woman driving back to her house after taking a kid to school. Maybe cop was bored? Not sure what is suspicious about an SUV in a subdivision? That said, no ticket, but will be putting the front plates on both the Cayenne and Taycan so I don't have to deal with that again.

Same damn thing in Granbury, TX. Cop spun around on the highway and pulled me over for no front plate about a year ago and gave me a warning. Two weeks ago, same cop...............this time a ticket. Me too, took car to dealership and had them put on the front plate. What I don't like is that there are plenty of cars without plates all over Granbury. I am feeling paranoid that somebody does not like them P cars, especially them thar 'lectric ones.....................?

Must be a rural town? They wouldn't do that in the big cities. Most , if not all, large departments frown upon those types of stops. It prevents officers from responding to the major crimes and safety issues that officers, departments and public officials are measured against. And if you want to give that department a hard time, go mail the mayor and the chief a letter. Tell them, "Thank you for pulling me over for my missing front license plate. But in the future, I would appreciate our fine officers pay more attention to the real crime and safety issues happening in our city." That will certainly turn some heads and piss people off. ;). That's what happen to us.! LOL. Mayor was pissed.

Police/CHP don't care.
A few months ago while waiting for my car to be built, I read one of these threads and happened to ask a cop who was standing around on the street in Redwood City. He seemed fairly knowledgable about the general concept and sympathetic to the idea of not wanting to put a front plate on the Taycan - even recommended that I check out the "sticker decal" company, and was familiar enough with the model that he knew how unusual the front end is.

He still said "yeah, you should do something. Cities are installing roving license plate readers for meter enforcement, and even if we don't pull you over, if you park on the street in certain cities, you are going to get a ticket".

I had my followup visit with OCDetailing (about whom I cannot say enough good things - if anybody in the SF area is contemplating having PPF/ceramic done, you should definitely at least consider them), and they installed the Sto-n-Sho for me. As you suggested, there are zero concerns with it blocking the night vision camera - the plate is way over to the driver's side.

Back in late 2015, around 6pm, I left my office to go home (a lot of people were leaving at that time). At the only two exis from the parking lot there was 4 or 5 police cars. One cop on foot picking out cars without front license plates and instructing them to pull over to the side of the road, where a bunch of cops were writing tickets. I was one of those cars. My car had no front plate holder but was brand new then and had temporary plate which I affixed to the rear plate holder, so the cop didn’t see it. The guy came to write me up, but he went to the back (presumably to note my plate), saw the temporary one, told me I can go but to make sure I affix the front plate once I get it. I am pretty sure there was nothing else they were interested in, other than a revenue stream or meeting some sort of ticket quota. Other that that, I also ran into a meter maid giving tickets to parked cars which did not have a front plate, which also seem all about revenue.

So perhaps sometimes it can be just about the lack of front plate.
